No content, no more excuses

The demand is created by the consumer wanting to buy something.
The seller aims to supply this demand.
The price is dictated by the point at which the demand is met by the supply. If there is a high demand a low supply, then the price goes up. And if there a low demand and a high supply, then the price goes down.

That’s basic supply & demand.

Does the game’s price point matter in that regard? Sure, but only to a small degree, because it is simply such a small business expense. Whether WoW is cheaper or more expensive doesn’t really impact the prevalence of botting in the game to any noticable degree. The demand for botting services - created by the players - is what dictates it.

Have to agree with this. If peeps didn’t pay the bandits, the bandits would go to another game, where peeps did pay them.

Sure, but there is more then one seller. If it’s cheaper to get accounts up and running they will try to dominate the market thus creating more bots.

Let’s just speculate and say gold seller Y has 500 accounts, if the price is dropped and he can now have 800 accounts for the same price he’ll do it because he’ll have more gold to sell. You don’t need to worry about him selling it, cause there’s plenty of idiots who will gladly pay for it cause they can’t make gold themselves.

Either way my stance on lowering price is : If you don’t think it’s worth it, stop paying. If you look at cost per day WoW is one of the cheapest hobbies you could get. If I go out and eat that’s 2 wow subs, if I go to a bar it’s 1 sub every 2 drinks etc.

Do you not understand what I’m basically saying?
I mean, I get it if you disagree and want to double down on your point of view, but surely you can understand that there are reasonable positions to take between loving WoW and happily paying for it, and then thinking it’s gotten very expensive and quitting.

There’s a nuanced position in-between where you can love playing WoW but still feel that it is a very expensive product.

Is that foreign as a concept to you?

You and I are the consumers. We should always ask Blizzard to give us more WoW for our money. Even if we get a lot and are satisfied, then it is still in our interest to ask for more - just as it is in Blizzard’s interest to always maximize their profits.

It gets a bit silly to not adopt your own position as the consumer because you like to play the forum argument game where you adopt a theoretical and arbitrary position and argue its merits just for the sake of the argument.
That’s like turkeys voting for Christmas.

Also true.

Sure and that’s called market competition and the size of the market - and thus the demand it is comprised of - is again dictated by us.

No. He’ll only do that if he can sell that extra gold. If there aren’t any buyers for it (demand) then there’s no reason for him to acquire it (supply).
The demand creates the supply.

It really doesn’t matter how cheap or expensive the game is. It’s the demand that dictates the prevalence of botting.

Work it out

I already did… you’re an Anonymous lowbie Classic Alt, posting on the General Forum, with a current sub, who wants to get all their gaming for £1 every three months…yet here you are, instead of playing all those ‘top quality’ games from the £1 a Quarter Gaming Club.

Sure if you say so.

Your words, not mine.

Wanna pull up quotes from original posts?

But whatever, I have an active sub, I play this version more than classic but again, whatever, our convo aint going anywhere.

Cba to fix the rest, like I said, figure it out.

Like I said, I already did

True, if that is all you got then not worth my time trying to tell you otherwise, I can tell you different but… it is not going anywhere.

Irony…

Indeed …

I do. I however find your example quite bad.

If a product is not worth the money anymore in ones PoV then one shouldnt pay for it. Its a luxury good after all.

Yes. As long as it makes sense. The sub fee for instance as stated should have been increased. It did not. So theoretically it has become cheaper in that aspect to play the game. The base editions also are relatively cheap compared to other games with what they offer.

If he doesnt think the game is worth the bucks anymore then dont pay for it. Its the loudest and clearest sign to the company that you are no longer fine with their prices. Thats simply how it is.

Theres a difference in complaining about stuff in the game while still thinking its fine money wise but has areas to improve and flat out stating its not worth the bucks.
