I’m just running Heroic (and Normal) Firelands on my Level 70 Druid as I’ve been doing for a few weeks, and usually I go in and everything is a single swipe, does millions of damage, see you later. But today, I’m doing seemingly normal damage as if I was vs my own level and things are taking multiple swipes to kill, each doing 20-30k damage.
It’s still doable w/mechanics, but I would not expect to have to hit something half my level multiple times, I’d expect to do crushing blows against them. In my combat log, not a singe move was crushing.
Is something bugged or is this just how it is now?
Edit: maybe it’s just Firelands mobs/bosses, cos Return To Kara Mythic was a one shot on everything, though that is a dungeon.
Edit 2: My level 70 warrior is experiencing the same thing.
Edit 3: Checked Molten Core to see if it was all raids and I’m doing 11-40 million damage in there, so it doesn’t affect every raid.
Experiencing the exact same thing with my Druid and Warrior. Pulverizes everything in both Classic and Legion raids but not in Firelands anymore… Yesterday everything was oneshot.
Edit: Bastion of Twilight works fine too (Cata raid), guess it only affects Firelands.
Thank you for the update! I’ve only been running Firelands, MC and Tempest Keep which were fine besides Firelands, so I couldn’t really tell how many it affected
Experiencing exactly the same thing since yesterday. Normally with my lvl 62 Hunter I pretty much one shot every boss but since yesterday I got killed multiple times and i’m doing a lot less damage. Even with my 70 palading. What is going on?!
same issue ive got, 1 moonfire was enough to down a boss now my lvl 50 mage gets killed off trying to kill trash mobs

something i did notice was my damage was poor while their health was the same not that they have been buffed, we’ve been nerfed in there!
I was just watching the Bellular Warcraft video about the new patch (and how much got broken) and apparently they made some changes to timewalking scaling, but it broke the damage in the raid for anybody who isn’t a well geared 80.
This certainly needs fixing, but I’m worried Blizz won’t bother because it’s old content and it’ll get ignored (like the Toe Knee fight in Return to Kara which locks up if you burn them down wrong)
Hmm, Deadmines (not timewalking, normal) is also scaling funny, my freshly dinged 70 mage can’t single arcane explosion down the ogres and bosses, it takes two.
Yet if I grab everything (including bosses) in Stockades, and a single arcane explosion is more than enough to take everything out in one shot.
This isn’t much of an issue at this level, of course, but still, it’s not right.
I feel like whoever came up with the timewalking scaling stuff didn’t think about existing versions of the dungeons properly.
