Another one that leaves because of Blizzard’s policy with addons. Reflexion.
Im quiting because I can’t imagine WoW without the UI flexibility it has right now. Soon, Blizzard will force me to use their limited Cooldown Manager and such. I must admit that most of my time in WoW is spent correcting my interface, giving it more features, developing them myself.
I like to feel that my window into the game is different from the rest, even feeling that it is better thanks to my skills as a programmer. That’s fun. Blizzard destroy my fun, so farewell.
They have used the RWF as an excuse. However, I see that competition as the F1 championship. In F1 you have drivers and engineers. Now thanks to Blizzard the engineers will go on unemployment.
I think the RWF is perfect. Developers may not like how top teams mock their mechanics with addons, they should see this as a challenge. But not, they prefer ruin the others fun.
The average number of pulls for the last boss has been over 300. That’s a lifetime for most people, but we’re at the top of the competition. I see it acceptable. The true end game has to be within the reach of a few, it always has been and we have accepted it that way. There is no problem in that. I think.
You have not experienced the changes yet and are already quitting…
Also instead of playing the game, you play the add-on and UI minigame. What if you might enjoy spending the time currently dedicated to tweaking and programming of your UI to actually play the game more?
Also keep your gold, you will return anyway like most impulse quitters
Its a continuation from the other thread where I said I don’t intend on intend on playing the beta because I do not wish to buy the epic edition of an expansion I currently do not intend to play due to the addon changes and specifically because I have no faith in Blizzard actually doing a good job with their replacements.
But look, I have my doubts that these people will leave the game.
They’re the first to buy the new expansion and log in on launch day They cry and cry and cry on the forums, for those few moments of popularity or anger, but they’ll never give up their World of Warcraft chair!
Ah, and what about that amazing feeling of being in Azeroth? Did you know WoW even has lore? I recommend reading some of the books—it’s really some solid fantasy! So, why not give it a chance? Actually, like the colleague above said. You’re paying for a UI minigame? Never heard that before, but hey, we all have our things . And what about your gold then?
I would go so far and say that you are quite biased BECAUSE you have skills as a programmer.
You have the tools and knowledge to change things. So you are much more likely to not be happy with designs that don’t optimize the way you wish they would.
