No graphic after DX12 switch, after patch 8.1

So I also have issue with the game after update, the issue seems to be with DX12.
It opened with DX11 and I wanted to check DX12 to see how it works after the update…after restart the game opens with black screen but with sound.
Any ideea on how to switch to DX11 back, is there a settings file/registry entry I can modify?

SET gxApi “D3D11” on config.wtf file under retail\WTF.

Thanks for the answer, I kinda fully deleted WTF and cache folders in retail after first try to ensure a clean start.
Any other solutions?

None, I tried making a new file Config.wtf under WTF folder and add that setting , but it won’t take it.

That’ strange, the file should be recreated by default if you can hear the login screen music. If you have an AMD card though, things are not fine at this moment Game doesn't work after 8.1 patch - #87 by Rinxx-ravencrest

I am also with an AMD card.
Update:
Seems I fixed it with cough a driver update…oh man I gave a reason to blues to tell people to update their drivers .
I am using AMD Adrenaline Edition 18.9.3, for those interested. I forgot I reverted my driver in 8.0 because it crashed everytime I tried to open the game.

DirectX version can also be changed out of game through the command line arguments in the BNet desktop app.

    With the BNet desktop app opened and WoW selected click on Options
    Select Game Settings
    Find WoW and check the box for Additional command line arguments
    In the new box enter the command for the desired DirectX version:

    -d3d11
    -d3d12

    Click Done to save.
