I’ve noticed the Midsummer fire event has started on Retail and classic, but not on BC Classic. Wondering if it’s not happening this first cycle around due to the drops and bonuses?
It took them all of classic to figure out events and not screw em up, it will probably take all of TBC for them to make them run smoothly here too ~
Has to be a bug then right, if it’s up on OG Classic too?
Seems like it, or it could be intentional as some of the ahune loot is pretty strong for the current cycle.
Why don’t u just wait for the weekly reset and see what happens before deciding it aint going ahead?
That’s not how these events work, at all.
A reset isn’t usually required to make events like this start. It was due to start 10am realm time like it has with OG Classic
Because the event is actually active, any event addon will tell you so and if you look around you’ll see the lanterns, but not the quest npcs, bonfires and maypoles so. This event always just started at 10am ST never on a weekly reset. The fact that it hasn’t indicates that it is currently broken.
The last lunarfestival npcs lasted until 2 months after the actual event just standing there. Its not like we didnt have buggy events in classic before
Apparently the event has started on US realms, meaning this is likely an oversight for EU realms.
Looking at their forms, it has not started on the US either.
Awesome, glad to see it’s coming in the near future!
