But why?
I’m not saying we should have a lot of customization options at once like we did 6 months ago but why not add one or two per race every patch? Surely it can’t take that many people to make one new haircut or a new tattoo.

Because they are piling it up to sell as a feature next expansion.
Or there are some major organization issues going over there atm.

They are liars, the customization was introduced just to boost the pre-orders, in November interview they said each patch will bring minor customization, and now they say no more customizations for the Shadowlands meanwhile one of the features of this expansion was the customization options for the players because there are no new classes nor new races.

There is no good reason “why” they aren’t working on it any longer.

It’s extremely disappointing. Hopefully they will change their minds if enough people protest over this on the social networks.
Just to be clear, I’m grateful for all their work and on all the wonderful customization options they’ve given us so far. But there are still races that are in need of more customization, and that’s excluding the allied races. I mean, look at the worgen. They’ve gotten…few more fur colors, eye colors and maybe one or two new facial hair options for the male worgen? How can that possibly compare to what the humans, orcs, night elves and some other races have gotten?

Indeed, the options we were given is a great start, I agree.
I honestly feel like it’s insulting for Blizzard to say that they no longer plan to add any more options during Shadowlands, while ending it on “But we will take suggestions and feedback!” as a bandaid. Many talented artists in the community have drawn concept art, swapped hairstyles between different races, etc for years. Not to mention the Nightborne players who have been asking for slit eyes since they were released as an allied race. That’s three years ago. And they still haven’t seen any of it.
I really hope they change their minds as well, but I won’t be surprised if they don’t.

as nightborne main we won’t keep silent for another expansion, lacking so much features in BFA was enough, why the heck blizzard backed up from it

I don’t get why. They didn’t explain it. I can only immagine they wan’t to use it for generating more hype in 2… perhaps 4 years to push sales once more.
It’s contraproductive in my view and very dissapointing.

it is totally up to you if you will keep subscribed or will not support lying devs.
My sub ends in summer because I thought I will save money by buying in bulk. Big mistake. Bad Ion. No more money to you.

And where exactly they said every patch will bring new customisations? Because I don’t see that anywhere.
All I see that they said most likely they will add even more customisation over the course of the game. Which they will certainly do.

Gotta take the resources from adding new skin tones to Nightborne, we got a CEO to pay.
You know what sucks about giving up on WoW?
It hurts hating it because WoW itself is not a bad game. People who work with passion are doing a great job.
But then we have these greedy people who put annoying content, removes flight whistle, release game half-finished, leaves classes and races to dust and makes the game feel extremely boring to play.
Should I blame corona for this? No. Its some of the designers fault. They could have made anima drop in solo-TC to make it feel more rewarding.
They could have made the Maw more worth it to endure.
They could have put the time they made that ugly golden cow and put more effort on Nightborne.
I bet there are some passionate workers that is mad about this but theyll propably get fired for speaking out…

Some customization options don’t need much time to create because they are literally in the game files.
Worgen hair styles, some skin tones, like green for Trolls, undead skin for Belfves, eye colors etc. Even mixing some textures for more skin tones can be done without much effort.
What’s also very strange are things like the Human black texture and some Blood Elven (the yellow one for sure) textures are simply painted over. Even their eyes and teeth are painted which gives you brown or yellow teeth.
I really would love more customization and not having to wait 2 years for a little update.
At the very least they could implement implement more options with the already existing files.

I am saddened too to hear this, even though I do not wish for much.
My wishlist includes nail polish on human females with multiple colors (that is the only thing they lack tbh), tattoos for human males, shared hairstyles for blood/void elf girls (maybe even hair color), and nelf hairstyles for nightbornes along with some jewelry.
And they shouldn’t have to work day and night for most of these, I think, the tattoos are the biggest deal in the pack.
I am however grateful for all the customization we got so far, the art team does a good job in my opinion and we got a lot already. This is how they can top it off for now. 
I would understand the no more customization thing if WoW’s character customization was from a game from 2021 and a complex one but WoW’s customization compared to lot of its competitors is so bare bones and simple that there should be no excuses to add more hairstyles/tattoos or stuff like jewelry most of the hair have no animation at all or bare minimum.
It actually baffles my mind how slow/lazy they have been expanding the customization part.

Watch them roll out teasers for more customization options in the next expansion pack. Gotta hook those juicy preorders somehow.
