No more new race/class combos?

couldn’t find an open thread about it so here’s a new one. road map doesn’t include any new race class combination update, does anyone know any more info about this ? maybe with 10.2.6 ?

I’m really hoping we get new Paladin races after that Tyr quest line.

Would love to see more race/class combos(especially for void elves ). I don’t see why wouldn’t they, they probably just haven’t put it in the roadmap.

They certainly did not do it here

paladin or shammy looks more likely because the new race can’t be druid but that’s not a great clue ofc.

this is how i see it. maybe there’s gonna be one with launch but it’s a minor thing compared to new content so they didn’t worry about mentioning it yet . i’d prefer to know it beforehand tho so people can prepare their classes for the expansion

While I want to play as an Ally elf paladin or shaman, I prefer the little lore remaining to not be thrown away.

I sure hope that we get paladins in 10.2.6. The Tyr’s Guard qline is the perfect reason for it.

Meanwhile Horde has both of the races (Tauren/Zandalari) that can be any class except for the unique ones (DH/Evoker).

I demand justice for the Alliance.

The Tyr’s Guard is a human-centered reason for it, and making everyone in their fashion would mean completely ignoring the cultures of races that aren’t connected with Titan keepers or the Light in human understanding. If they ever add paladins for everyone, they should do it with racial tints similar to what the druids or shamans have, like the moon-coloured abilities for the night elves or the Red Crane-style for Pandaren.

i don’t think that stopped them from making even horde enter the new nelf city so it’s possible

The Horde visiting Bel’Ameth have the “buff” of Sentinels watching them, and they can’t use services like binding hearthstone to the place. So even if they can do it, it doesn’t mean it should be done, and same here.

Oh yeah?!

Makes camp there

Hah!

I said services, not racials.

The Tyr’s Guard has a Troll, a Belf, a Kul-Tiran, a Draenei and a Human.
Later on, once Tyr has come back, Liadrin visits them and says something along the lines of “Maybe the Tyr’s Guard will succeed where the Silver Hand failed.”

Yes I would love racial tints, seriously would love white light for a Nelf Paladin, but I don’t think that will be coming for a long time. However, we will get cultural mounts at least I should imagine.

I read somewhere, that Kazzak players are getting a unique class called “trashbag” because their players are pretty much all trash \o/

Today’s random insult towards Kazzak has now been completed!

This is such a tone-deaf idea from Liadrin. The Silver Hand couldn’t and shouldn’t have been able to have united all the paladins under one banner, doubly so since the Fourth War ended not that long ago to join the religious practices. Especially for the Zandalari, who literally lost their king and several loa during it.

Well I think what she meant was the Silver Hand failed because of the fourth war. Now that we have peace and have had it for several years she hopes that everyone will come together under the Light. It’s been 4 years now… not everyone is going to hold hands and sing songs but there are plenty who look past it.

It shouldn’t be this easy. Especially since it’s human version of paladins or nothing with Tyr. It’s exactly holding hands and singing like nothing ever happened.

Well in all honesty I don’t really care what reason they use, I just want all classes for all races. Headcanon RP reasons for why your toon is such is more than enough for me. I understand not everyone wants that but it’s my stand point. I think the questline is a good point for lore to introduce it, compared to warlocks who seemingly just… appeared.
