As far as i remember,we always used to get new driver optimized for the new expansion, this time we dont for some reason ?
Errr, what?
Blizzard make games, not drivers. If you want a new driver for whatever, you will have to reach out to the hardware makers, not to Blizzard.
Ye im talking about nvidia/amd drivers, which we didnt get this time
Then you need to go and ask AMD / nVidia.
Blizzard don’t own either.
This time AMD partnered with Blizzard for a marketing campaign. One of their recent drivers was marketed as optimized for Shadowlands (yet no performance changes) and if you bought RDNA1 card you got SL for free. They also implemented a better ambient occlusion from AMD. Nvidia already was in good shape and now we can wait for SAM/resizable BAR support in their drivers as WoW does benefit from that on RDNA2.
How is that going to improve performance ? also which cards will it support ?
All. day-0 drivers are somewhat common when the GPU vendor needs to do some optimization in the pipeline when a given game is being run etc.
Sometimes it’s marketing mostly

Ye,there isnt for Nvidia…
Uhm… the last 3 driver versions have Shadowlands optimizations… maybe read the changelog?
Have had strange flickering issues since bfa on map or ui elements sometimes shadows, every now and then no issues then another driver brings it back followed by another driver fixing it.
No there isnt a single one for release. There was one optimized for prepatch and that was 2-3 drivers before.Nvidia
Yeah but what improvements do you expect?
The game is mostly CPU limited anyways… a driver most likely won’t improve your FPS.
AMD got one last driver update says added support for Shadowlands
Cant find any for NVidia but it shouldn’t matter to much anyway if BFA was running fine on the last driver then odds are SL will as well.
