That’s a very small talent pool you’re working with though.
Mr Dyer aside, most Cockneys you see on television will be Home Counties middle-class RADA trained luvvies.
click on the “quote” popup, if that doesn’t show, go to preferences> interface and make sure “Enable quote reply for highlighted text” is checked.
anyway, I think it’s better if accents aren’t entirely authentic, since azeroth is an imaginary place.
plus, I prefer a weird accent than straight up bad VA, which WoW had a lot of over the years. that’s at least one aspect they’ve improved on in the latest expansions.
What if they went “Real Cockney” that would be funny to see, everyone trying to work it all out. A genuine cockney would have to been born within 1 mile of the Bow Bells, my grandfather was one such man. Always spoke in cockney rhyming slang. When I was about 5 my uncle got married and my mum and dad got me a little suit and bow tie. When I arrived at the wedding my grandfather walked up to me and said “Nice flute son, but you got jam all over your boat”… I was so confused. If we got quest text and voice like that, it would probably make people read and listen more so they could decrypt what they were supposed to do!
Well, I never really thought of it as a Russian accent tbh. I see why you would think that, but it doesn’t seem Russian to me (an actual Russian). I could be wrong tho.
in my neck of the woods no one uses acronyms for police officer (or military or anything) ranks when communicating verbally
