No open world ilvl increases in seasion 4

i noticed when i was gearing up my new fresh level 60 paladin that normal dungon gear is ilvl 236. Open world activitys still gives ilvl 233 so there is no rison to do Kortia and other open world content zones becurse they give lower ilvl then just spaming dungons/raids why not increse WQs and open world ilvl aswell and added a addunal +1 lego rank aswell or u end up replaceing lego with 300+ gear

Technically open world gives 252 after updating the console but yes, an increase to 270 so would have been great. Give us something to actually do for a bit. But nope bored until pre-patch.

well prepatch hits the old content will scale level 60 in current alpha if u look on gear scaling u can get epics from old world dungons on level 260 and this is still level 58 with chromi time acctive … well i know what i will be doing with my level 58 when prepatch comes out

You want open world to drop higher rewards then mythic + 0 and mythic + 2?? Dont get me wrong, itd help catch up but itd make mythic dungeons redundent lol

Its likely they didnt increase it, as if they did theyd have to increase several others factors which would snowball fast.

The word “rison” gave me a headache.

It’s just mythic 0 though, how would that make mythic dungeons 10 and up irrelevant.

Plus to be honest I want more people out in the open world than locked up on dungeons. I like to see a lively world.

but the gear is harder to get aswell it was like 3 gear peaces on like 10 runs

This - check which bit of the Zereth Mortis console you need to upgrade for higher gear level.

It wouldnt, but its likely blizzard dont want overlapping content in such fashion as it encourages you to skip parts of the natural curve of the game.

The same reason they said they were removing titanforging based on.

When ilevel skips parts of the curve, for upgrades it forces a player to skip +0 and go into m+, which for a new player would effectively mean jumping into the m+ system without basic knowledge of the dungeon.

The idea is

Progress open world and normal dungeons, into heroic, go into mythic+0 which flesh out all the mechanics, into m+ system which layers more mechanics on around what yoy already know.

Now that isnt saying open world needs to stay at 250, as i said itd be good catch up to see it lifted. But throwing it uptoo almost fated lfr ilevels would prolly be quite the dive.

265 would be likely a more reasonable number.

.

World boss drops 285.

Even lower chance than alar mount.

Alright, one below M0 then. I just figured M0/+ would be like 275 or something now.

262 drops are way more accessible to someone who does dungeons than the grind that they’ll have to put to get the console level to drop 270. Dungeons weren’t irrelevant with 252 cypher gear, they wouldn’t be in that case either

It does have a effect, i think people just tend to ignore it.

Players catching up will take the fastest method, im pretty sure in BFA on most chars i managed to skip to like +8s without doing any dungeons.

This time round the catch up seems slower.

Eh?

+5 drops 272.

I don’t see an issue personally. Multiple ways to gear is more fun. You want to relax? Do this but it’ll take longer. You want to run dungeons? Do that. Choices are good.

Because as above just notified

+5 is 272, if open world overrides that, im pretty certain the grind to console is faster then battling through 2 drops per 5 man dungeon that far up.

And it would murder lower key runs as people will skip em

Blizzard seems to want the staggered progress, hence why they cut the ilevel rewards from m+ to make raiding more nessercary to m+.

Which takes time.

BFA wq’s were scaled up to LFR requirements in each season. I really don’t understand why they ‘fixed’ something that was not broken.

Because when SL started they decided it should be a staggered process.

Open world → heroic dungeons → mythic dungeons → raiding.

Not to say thats right or wrong, but its what they did, its why we saw m+ ilevel rewards also cut.

To prevent m+ being a end game. But being a stepping stone to raiding.

Oh I agree, I hate it, I don’t bother gearing alts. I’m hoping in pre-patch we will get some kind of catch up system like the last few expansions.
