No reset on Azerite-Traits despite changing traits?

Hi,

I just logged in to see the message, that azerite traits are available for skilling, so far so good, but upon checking I realized that only my headpiece was reset.
My shoulderpiece despite change from Unbound chaos to Chaotic transformation was not reset, my chestpiece wasn’t reset either.

Checking my bags I realized that only a few of the headpieces were reset and none of the other azerite gear. Is this working as intended? I seriously hope not…
I’m not willing to spend a ton of gold on reforging my gear due to changes Blizzard made on existing gear.

This would be one of the stupidest things Blizz have ever done if it’s intended. I would maybe understand if Azerite armor pieces that received no changes to their traits would not be automatically reset, but pieces that did get changed traits to not be reset is beyond ridiculous. Think it’s just a bug.
