No Resilience = game fun is destroyed

The pvp stat was never removed, it was changed into versatility and made available to PvEers.

exactly and some specs uses for pve that stat as main

Make the current random battlegrounds work with templates as with legion.
You get a currency from them for average pvp gear with a pvp ilvl.
When you reach a certain pvp ilvl you can join the elite battlegrounds.
The same as normal battlegrounds but based on gear with no templates.
The rewards from here will also be much stronger and only obtainable from these elite battlegrounds.
It would be like a heroic/mythic version for pvp.
Haven’t touched pvp on most characters in BFA due to the gear gaps. Whilst in legion I quite enjoyed it not having to worry about gear all that much.
We have 3-4 options for pve content.
but only 2 for pvp.
Random or group queued. Adding a third option according to the above would give solo pvpers an extra layer to their pvp progression.

tbh… its changed into several counterparts.

Vers and Instanced based PvP Scaling…

both of these things control the Damage Done.

What type of an absolute blockhead would die to world trash? I don’t think the world should be challenging, but it should be interesting. When 8.3 came out, and the assaults started, the mobs there just took too long to kill, but they couldn’t really damage me. So it was a slog. I don’t think Zuldazar should be challenging, but at least assaults should be interesting. I shouldn’t be pulling 7-8 mobs and be at 100% hp when they’re dead. This is how mobile MMOs design their world.

The open world’s only saving grace is warmode. Without it, it is absolutely boring.

well Yeah in 8.3 we’re talking 8.0

And no alot were lmfao, Some of those monsters were destroying some classes in just a few hits xD

it was mainly because hitting 120, actually made u weaker then u were at 114… which ment ur class Simply took a TON more damage from everything and could cope with ALOT Less.

i beleive it was around 410ish that you could then go and destroy open world, but back in 8,0… Open world gear was like SUPER low ilevel, u have to remember… we’ve gained over 200 ilevel over the course of this expansion…

our power growth has been HUGE.

At this rate I expect another stat squish after SL.

its already confirmed… we are getting one :stuck_out_tongue:

in prepatch Mythic Ny’alotha gear is like 120 ilevel xD everythings going down

Stats, Level, Secondary Stats, Health, Damage etc etc all squished

No, I meant the patch after SL.

aaah haha xD Prolly tbh

You can make a concious decision between equipping more resilience, aka making yourself tankier, or equipping more PvE gear, aka making yourself less tanky but deal more damage.

It’s similar to how Humans back in the days equipped two dps trinkets due to every man for themselves being busted.

So yeah, “there’s literally no difference” is objectively wrong.

I’ll agree on the “longer =/= better” statement, but outside of that, you’ve not really made good points.

So first of all, regarding that statement, I’d like a source, before even remotely being close to believing that statement, given how insanely many guilds disbanded and people quit during BFA.

And then, my second point, even IF there has been a higher player engagement in PvP, it’s solely due to the existance of things that have not existed beforehand, such as the weekly chest, Conflict & Strife, Blood of the Enemy, which “force” people to engage more in PvP.

Its in Q2 investors call lol. Guild disbanding is rather case of people not actualy needing any guilds anymore to play this game since you can pug everything upto mythic or simply just buy boosts.

World of Warcraft® reach and engagement once again increased sequentially, as shelter-at-home conditions further boosted the franchise’s strong trajectory.

Even they don’t put it on the game being good, but the pandemic.

To put it in your words “lol”.

when you post about PvP in the GD forums be prepared to get 90% of the comments from people who never stepped a foot into PvP/ hate it with a passion and have no Idea what they are talking about, they love to talk about things tho .

If people would not enyoj game they would quit no matter of pandemic or not. There is plently of other games you can play during pandemic.

It’s impossible to argue with you in a reasonable manner, thus I won’t. Cheers.

Someone once commented that a manager we knew manages like a seagull. He flies in, craps on everything and flies out again without really adding anything.

OP seems a bit like that.

Imagine being so entitled that you think you can decide how other folks enjoy this game.

Yes some people enjoy playing against real players more and think PVE is boring. Gasp shocking, I know.

Hardcore PVPers have been an important part of the player base for years. They promoted the game through online content and only contributed to increasing its popularity. Why is it bad to have a healthy PvP scene again?

Also Esports are still a thing for Blizzard so I doubt it that they want to alienate these players completely.

It’s entitled to acknowledge that the game is PvE focused? It isn’t entitled it’s just factual.

PvE has always taken priority.

And it’s not a bad thing. Just no game can do both to a good standard… you find 100% in most PvE focused mmorpgs the PvP gameplay sucks. And in most PvP focused mmorpgs the PvE sucks

And most of blizzards eSports surrounds PvE? Lol? The only PvP one is the arena one held by blizzard if I remember correctly? Lol

While MDI and world’s first both are PvE focused…

Ion actually has said he wants people to have to do all parts of the game to be BiS which means he thinks it’s right a pvper to have to pve,

P.s it really doesn’t sound like the OP is enjoying this game I’m just telling him why he isn’t.

It’s entitled to tell people to get over it. Why would they get over it and play other games.

WoW’s PVP has always been hella entertaining. A lot of PVPers also did PVE to some content (trinkets and other BiS items). You always had to PvE even when there was PVP gear available.

These PVP oriented players pay a hefty sum every expansion and every month. You can’t say that about a lot of games out there. Yes, they expect quality, it’s not unreasonable. I’m sorry but I disagree with you.

Things like PVP gear, class balance, class design, they should be important on their agenda. More so than what kind of abilities does the X boss have.

People beat a raid a few times and wait for another patch, but PvP is a form of in game entertainment that will always be there, even during content lacking expansions or patches.

And the arena Esports has a much older tradition than M+ or whatever.
