No resources for Miners

for 1 hour I’ve been flying around in Hellfire, Zangarmarsh and Terokkar forst and I kid you not… not a single vein from ANY sources has popped up on my radar.

There needs to be a massive buff to respawn rate in Outland.

Are you levelling mining? If so I recommend mining thorium in ungoro - you’ll get past 350 easily which is enough for Northrend mining.

If your gathering for profession levelling I recommend doing all daily’s and buying gel iron/adamantite :+1:

There’s probably just a lot of players levelling in those zones or flying around on their mains collecting ore. Since it’s one cast per node now, they get taken quickly.

When I levelled mining in TBC I don’t think my skill level went up very much at all when I hit 70. Couldn’t mine any adamantite.

i would say there is so little players so they are not proccing dynamic respawn, and t here are hidden nodes in strange spots. maybe im wrong, or its just bots 280%mount farming everything

Ever since the beginning of Classic, resource nodes have been controlled by Blizzard so this is likely their solution for botting

This explains the 10g fel iron bars and why i can’t make fun TBC recipes anymore.

You can buy ore from the AH.

How about increasing the rates so that the market becomes inflated so that botters barely get any gold.
It’s really unfortunate that there aint a system that can detect a pattern of logged players to auto-kick/time out players. Especially during the night times.

This is the best advice. Ore spawn rate in outland is ultra scuffed and if there is any way to skip it, you should do it.

Other option is to smelt the TBC section until 340 was it, and then only mine the last 10. Usually you do not lose much gold per smelt, if at all, but this of course varies depending on the server and the time of day. Edit: oh you also mentioned buying. Two good tips in one message then

Insane amount of miners. Especially on weekends. That’s just a reality. Node respawn is frequent but you are against many players.

All the tryhards went with engineering/jewelcrafting as they are perceived as BiS profs for PvE.
This creates a lot of demand for ore.
