basically being caster means getting tunneled to the max, fake casting only to get sunned blined etc untill kick is up then rotate all stuns and blinds again, melee should not have this kind of mobility or dmg…
there’s only ret thats kiteable now the others are a just braindead
Fake casting only works at low rating, everyone at high rating interrupts at last sec of cast.
Yeah it’s crap, but fake casting only to be stunned… have you been taking precognition?
Some caster have fix pvp talents which see required. Because blizzard was to stood to put some in the class or spec tree.
They should make Precognition baseline for all casters, with the amount of interrupts and pseudointerrupts melee have.
Yeah, that makes sense tbh. It’s unfair on casters which have lockins on PvP talents
Or the other way around, make them talents in the class tree or spec tree. Depends if all spec use and have that Talent.
While at the same time some melee have some talents they must have, just to keep up with the crazy mobility everyone else has.
Depends on the melee but i think there are a lot of pvp talents that could be talents. Maybe remove some multipliers and implement pvp talents.
Yeah, mainly i’d say that PvP Talents should only be utilities for PvP, and not something increases x damage or y healing etc.
And for gods sake Blizz really need to redesign some PvP Talents, like Rot and Wither for DK.
Have a DF character with the same DK and Name.
I log on both Unholy DKs each day and play some bgs and solo shuffle. Its a pitty classic has just very limited few options for pvp, because is so much better designed from the ground.
One of the main reasions why its better and a lot more enjoyable is the art of kiting is real in wrath while in modern wow its non existend.
It has nothing to do with dmg or burst, its higher in wrath than in DF and even SL was.
The main issue is, most melees in DF are unkiteable, they just have way too much mobility!!! Especially warrior comes to mind. The class is very popular for a reasion(like DH in this season, just warriors do it for a way longer time), there is way too much mobility, its NOT the dmg. its not even the selfheal, i would allow some selfheal for melees, IF its possible to kite them for a good amount of time.
Having uptime on a target as melee should be some way to express skill, not automated and inbuild in dmg and def cds.
Thats maybe the most important part why modern wow pvp isn’t quite as well designed as in past games.
The other one is the lack of high consistent dmg and too much dependancy on major offensive cds, there is no need for dampening, if you can just die at any given moment.
Blizz should fix both issues, asap.
I could mention the ridiculous amount of selfhealing and absorb fluff, too that not every class should have, but its more than an annoyance than a core element of what the problem here really is, just looking at the stats of various pvp sites stastistics alone is very telling its like at least 2-3x more melees than actually range dds in 2s and 3s and i bet even worse in solo shuffle, hard to spot casters there, at least in check-pvp at 1800+ rating, might be better for casters at high ratings, but the sample will be too small to be of any real value that early into the season.
Is this a sp the strongest specc in wow?
I think more spells should be castable while moving, but not instant cast like the trend is now.
Being able to see things coming is a better and more interactive gameplay in my mind, along with some flexibility for caster specs so you don’t have to be a static turret.
Cant always fit that talent in.
what do you mean, chaos bolt almost does the same dmg as charge from a warrior. that is much reward
Melees should take 20% of their max hp for failing an interrupt. It’d actually fair, considering that specs like arcane lose100% of their hp after being interrupted while dealing 0 DMG.
arcane is a bad example because if you are good at arcane nobody will ever touch you and if they do you turn back time and be full hp or run across the map invisible to eat to full.
yes arcane should take the most dmg in the game considering how many options for mobilty and hp reset they have
doesnt matter if it is, its still the same when being trained down by melee etc regardless of being op or not…
To much uptime from certain melee specs, like dh, ww, feral, rogue and warrior(where fury feels more oppressive than arms)
