No Shadowlands invite for me

Once it did matter to Blizzard if you were a “old” player in this game. Back in the day your word had a meaning. Did get invited to test out expansions. Nowdays no more. I only have been here since it came out. Over 15 years. Got 328 days on my dk and overall played around 1000 days… That used to mean something. Got a nice statue on my table to remind me of the time i’ve spent in wow. Sadly not much of the old gamehouse is left anymore. No invites to alpha, beta, any tests anymore for me it seems…
Sad… Very sad only… =( ( yes i did enjoy the movie avatar )

Beta is a not anyone’s right.

You might get chosen in the first wave, the 13th wave or never.

Just a quick edit to add - the first step of standing a chance to be chosen is making sure you signed up.

It is not the same as in the past.

In the most polite way Blizzard doesnt owe you a beta key just for paying your subscription to a service they offer.

If I paid for any other service for multiple years it doesnt entitle me to anything special. I just happen to have spent a lot of money on their service thats it.

honestly, the amount of time or money you ve spend in game does not make you better than anyone else. :grimacing:

Why would you even want to get invited anymore? Beta’s have just been promotional the last few expansions.

Remember its about testing, so lots of factors count towards getting picked. What class you play most, what type of content you do, what kind of connection and computer :stuck_out_tongue:

Man… now you’d make me feel bad for you if i actually got an invite.

If i do, i promise i’ll steal some Kobold candles and sell them to some merchant in Oribos for you. :frowning:

Every time theres beta invites people use the whole “I’ve been playing for years but Blizzard doesn’t care” if they don’t get in. You’re right they don’t care and shouldn’t care how long you’ve been playing because it doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be of any use to test a beta. Accounts being old or not has never meant special treatment.

Also beta tests are not rewards for regular players.

Out of curiosity, i opt-ed in, do i need SL pre purchased to get inv? Ill guess yes.

No prepurchase required. Just need to have a current sub.

Och so i still have chance, cool thanks

You mean I’ve been wasting my time? I can’t consider myself part of the elite upper class and expect VIP treatment and beta invitations? :scream:

Beta invites are for influencers that promote the game.

You sitting in the same chair after 15 years with your collection of toys and statues don’t mean a thing unless you can make the Bobster Lobster some more money :stuck_out_tongue:

The people that complain they didn’t get an invite would be people that would treat it like a regular game to sate their boredom of current WoW, not provide feedback or report bugs… and be the first to say there’s nothing to do or they’re bored a week after official release…

This really, it’s not a early-acess/preview.

It’s meant to help do bug-testing and make sure it’s working as intended for release. Treat it as a extra little-job, not a fun exclusive preview.

We are all hyped mate, relax, the release date is getting closer every day.
Every year I wish I got a beta and I never get it but then I’m grateful cause everything is so new and exciting.
You don’t really lose anything if you don’t play beta.

I have had plenty of beta invites for WoW starting with Cata all the way upto BFA and I have never once done any social media or streamed or made any content for this game. I simply logged in and did what was asked which was test content and report back issues that need to be addressed.

This whole notion that its Only for influencers is quite frankly absolute nonsense.

Do influencers get VIP treatment? Ofc they do because they are literally generating Blizzard money by doing so but there is only maybe 30-40 streamers total that stream wow and you expect them to be able to test and give feedback all by themselves?

In short : Your talking absolute nonsense.
