Ever since the Zeneth Mortis patch I have no sound in game on my wifes PC , nothing I do seems to fix this.
Key factors and things I have done so far are this:
- Every other game on my PC works with sound perfectly, including Diablo3 which is a blizzard game.
- Music and internet all work perfectly with sound
- WoW sound was perfect up until this latest patch
- I have not added anything new to my PC or changed any software in months, other than WoW updates.
- I have disabled all addons
- I have fully reset the UI
- I have then uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game
- I have made sure all the audio settings are correct on the pc-system as well as the game itself (including resetting to defaults)
- I have made sure the windows audio setting for apps “exclusively” using the sound device is not active
- I have made sure windows update has the very latest device drivers loaded and installed
- I am using windows 11
- I have made sure nothing else is running at all at the same time as WoW
- I have checked this with speakers and headphones and there is no difference. Always making sure they are fully unplugged after being used for testing
- I have reset the pc numerous times
- It is a very high spec PC only 1.5yrs old so more than capable of running WoW at all the highest settings.
Nothing seems to work, the ingame sound is just gone.
Please can you help? The game for me at present is pretty unplayable like this.
