Anyone else getting a bit annoying at afkers at the community feast these days? There isn’t as many people as there used to be at this spot to obtain the buff or get the rep from the quest, but yet there still those individual who just stand there, afk and don’t really provide any form of assistance towards the event, not even once.
I can’t name/shame them as it’s against the forums rules, but I will say they’re all mostly from Kazzak… big shocker there right?
Anyway, Blizzard can you at least do something to make it, where you need to actively participate in this event to be able to obtain the buff or something.
WoW is slowly becoming more of an afk mobile game, with the amount of things, especially with the Superbloom event as well for example.
Have some internal measure, where if you’ve not contributed for say at least 50% of the event timer, then you’re excluded from said event and you’ll have to wait until 24 hours for that internal event block to be lifted.

Haven’t done feast for a while but the last times I did it I only did 5 tasks for the quest. I knew it wouldn’t be a good soup anyhow as so few were there.
These group activities that need so many players don’t have a long shelf life as the numbers dwindle after a few months.
I only ever do my five jobs and hand my quest in. Are you struggling to complete the quest or you want the event to go through to legendary?
Oh the quest is fine, I have the achievements from back when DF was released.
I’m just saying that something does need to be done for those that just afk there and don’t really do anything.
If someone does their quest and leaves the area for example, then you don’t get hit with some form of internal restriction, but that then in part could impact people who generally afk’ed before the event even started or something, so it’s a tricky thing to deal with.
I just feel personally, that there needs to be more things involved when you have a long timed event, where even if you do not do anything, you still get rewarded.
A lot of the older events suffer, the only time they get a surge of interest is when they are part of the weekly quest in Valdrakken to aid the Accord.
True true.
I understand people want the easiest and less work involved kind of things, as it’s boring or they know they can just sit there, leave the computer, do something/watching things, compare back in 10 minutes and it’s all done and dusted.
I just hope we don’t have any similar events come TWW. I like watching people do the event quests and such, it shows some form of involvement, interaction and of course the main part of any game like this… massive multiplayer!
AFK RPG isn’t the name of the genre at the end of the day xD
How are the AFKers personally hurting you?
Let them do what they want.

I’m sorry, but there are no agents at this moment in time, who can take your call. Please call back again tomorrow!

That’s all I do as well, the fact that hitting the chefs hat button to “Yes Chef” counts as one of the five tasks makes it easier to move on from it asap.
I sometimes noticed with that you get 2 completions from 1 single yes chef.
The tasks have been rewarding 2 for some time now. 3 tasks and done.

Sometimes I only noticed today, I don’t remember it doing that back at the beginning.
I’m not complaining, quest was done very quickly.
In the game which perfected world events, there are four levels of participation: gold, silver, bronze and none.
Deriving the outcome from how many people participate isn’t particularly sustainable design. It’s fine for certain types of events (assault, defense). It’s like going to a raid solo and getting no loot, because the others didn’t show up. (Never mind that!)
Ideally everyone’s result would depend on their contribution, only.

If they don’t participate they get no rewards.

Not in the beginning, But it was a QoL change a while back. Same time they added the quest being available 15 mins before hand.
Indeed one for your YES CHEF and the other for completing.
ah got ya! I only returned a few days before season 3 started, so there is probably a few other things that I’ve not noticed yet.

Yeah, but you know people also afked there at the start of the expansion. But there were so many people actively still doing it you couldnt notice them that well.
I afked trough that so many times at the start of the expansion. Sometimes even accidently because i was afk without knowing the event would start soon
