I have always looked for ‘upgrades’.
If I have a gun with bad stats, I would rather get a gun with good stats.
That’s not min-maxing, that’s RPG basics.
So yeah, I have full Hero gear, but not all of it is as nice as it could be. I’m not looking for BiS perse, but an upgrade is an upgrade. And that’s fun.
And as I’ve been saying since forever: I play games to have fun.
And guess what: Having content be excluded from this event, is not fun.
I haven’t done the quest yet, but I am planning to do a few fast dungeon ru s tonight. You are welcome to come and get you quest done. Pretty sure I can make it so we dont PuG.

True. I was looking forward to it, because of the old affixes, but its just so stupid. Full tank meta… You can solo idk what level key (my friend solo carried me and another friend theough a +35 so idk whats the limit), even in mythic raids you barely get to see the mechanics, its as engaging as transmog runs, oh and it pretty much boils down to “who will explode their dreadlord first and everything dies”. I mean when does it start getting good?
For anyone who is wanting to raid Normal but is afraid to PuG, I would recommend joining some of the noob friendly communities.

BM hunter is hilariously op right now. Its fun to pump an unholy amount of dmg with a fully stacked netherprism.
Doesnt change the fact that BM is probably the least interesting spec in the game.

I have pugged a run today and it went pretty smooth, it took almost 2 hours because after the first 4 we hade to almost remake the whole raid for people leaving in mass and again another time after Fractilus.
We only wiped 2 times on Dimensius but it was a very good run, people have been super polite.

Trying to improve over time is fun. Learning new specs is fun.
I would draw a parallel with Dark Souls, i started out hating the series with a passion and i thought people that liked it were idiots. One day it just clicked and theres nothing like the joy of improving at the game. Your skill is what makes you OP, you get crushed maybe the first try or so (maybe longer if you aren’t as good at souls games) but you understand their patterns and the boss can’t even touch you.
Gitting gud is infinitely more rewarding than just having broken gear or being carried.
This is pretty frustrating for me aswell. I’m still missing a trinket, and I’ve had the worst luck with delve loot and weekly chests lately. Sir Finley doesn’t sell trinkets, and the only trinket vendor is gated behind level 9 delves and higher, and I can’t seem to complete those with my evoker.
Come on Blizzard, it’s the end of the expansion! I don’t even care about heroic or even normal raid gear, just let me buy a trinket… please?
Normal and heroic raids are not competitive activities, even mythic is no longer competitive after half season. Doing 4x m+2 is not competitive.
And ‘it’s fun!’ is indeed not an argument at all. Being able to activate godmode and go into mythic raid oneshotting everything would be super fun for a lot of players I’m sure.

A far more interesting question: Why is Blizzard giving us a second currency to buy these trinkets, and then locking the vendor behind the same requirement as he already was.
Put the guy in Dornogal, and have that version sell only for whatever the new currency is called.

I think you’re wrong about that. I don’t get their logic - and I think it’s one of the dumber things they’ve done - but I’m quite certain that from their pov there is both logic and reason.
