No Turbo Boost for Casuals. WHY Blizzard?

Like I said, the motivations I have no qualms with. It is a logical stance to have those opinions on both issues.

My confusion and amusement comes from using an appeal to Blizzard as an authority that “Knows best” in order to dismiss arguments against things you like, and then whining incessantly when they do something you don’t agree with. Why is it not Blizzard knows best here too?

“Blizzard knows best so you’re wrong, except when they don’t know best, which is when I’m right and they’re wrong.”

Because “Blizzatd knows best” when it comes to removimg barriers for casuals or whatever, but “Fix this now” when it comes to the exclusion of casuals.

hire me blizzard, I’ll fix it.

There is nothing to be fixed. The event is BS in general. A) it promotes boosting, B) it has unfair requirements and by that I mean you can unlock HC by doing pretty much anything, but Mythic is only from Mythic and C) loot disparity between Raiding and M+.

The solutions should be a re-evaluation of Raid loot drops and the item power when it comes to Raid vs M+.

The event is primarily intended to help casual players, but the casual raid mode has been removed. As noted above, the main problem with Normal mode isn't the difficulty, but the collection process.
Blizzard doesn't like the community; there's no other explanation.

I mostly used it for appearances I was missing rather than gearing. :stuck_out_tongue:

So there is stuff to fix :dracthyr_nod:

Stuff to fix yes, but not the vendor. The vendor is the band aid.

I wasn’t talking about the vendor.

If it was up to me, that vendor wouldn’t exist in the first place

Then mb, since the thread is about Turbo boost and the vendor is pretty much the event.

Can someone tell me whats turbo boost?

The ilvl cap gets increased and there is a vendor that sells choice items from dungeons and raids. To unlock HC tiers you need to have completed the boss/dungeon on any difficulty, for myth track you need to have completed the boss/dungeon on mythic or +12 respectively.

The currency for the items is from a quest you get weekly, this week you get 3 chips which is enough for 1 item, going forward from next week it will be 1 chip per week meaning 3 weeks for an item. It is advised to not skip weeks, since there will be catch up at some point but we dont know when and you will be locked out until then.

So cause I timed a +12 ara kara, I can now freely pick the loot from the vendor?

Woop more mythic gear for the casual fox

No, you can buy the trinkets from Ara-kara on myth track. If you want for example Seaforium on myth track you need to have timed Floodgate on +12, if you want the Anthena trinket you have to had completed bugboi on mythic. Each item is locked behind its loot source. Thats for Mythic track.

For HC is pretty much the same but any difficulty counts towards the unlock. So Fractulus Normal (idk if LFR still counts since it has been excluded from the quest requirements for the currency) will unlock his trinket on HC in the vendor.

Also the vendor sells only Trinkets from M+ and from raid its necks, rings, weapons, trinkets and the special shoes. There is a full list on WoWjead or you can check in game ofc.

TO HAVE
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN

Does. Not. Apply. Here.
My main is full Hero geared. I’ve EARNED IT.
Yet, I’m excluded to get it during this event. It’s ridiculous.

But 3 of them were inclusive for all players; including LFR.

unfortunately some ppl identify fun just playin compettitive activities.

I see totally your point and personally i find devs decision not intelligent, i wont play normal raid just to have chips.. i wanna avoid ppl screamin at you for not doin perfect rotation in an activity im doin to pass time.

It’s an ongoing experiment, they never really have a set way of doing it. They are constantly seeking to balance.

Personally prefer when they don’t gate the rewards but others like it this way. They will never please everyone.

No, not really. The last 2 were very exclusive for raiders. As someone only doing M+, your BiS came from the raid, and you needed/still need to get Myth kills in order to unlock thise items. The M+ counterparts were pretty much useless since you most likely already had them.

The event/system has slowly been moving more and more towards incentivising raiding. I could pretty much guarantee you that the next itteration will be HC kills for HC loot as well. Blizzard have been very clear that their intention for this is “bad luck protection for raiders”.

Well, then I’m going to be here on the forums shouting at Blizzard for being stupid.

Blizzard needs to stop pushing their precious favourite kid onto us.
Ion needs to go. He really does.

Ok but why do you want that gear? I mean you already said that you have HC gear and its only trinkets, weapons and jewelry, oh and the boots. Are you min/maxing behind my back?
