No Turbo Boost for Casuals. WHY Blizzard?

The only real compromise I see here is for dinars to act trully as an rng protection.
Meaning not just hero and myth vendor but all difficulties - lfr, normal, hero and myth vendor so you can earn and spend dinars in the difficulty you play.

They should let people get this stuff from lfr.

Season is over, serious bizniz is done, people just want to have a bit of fun without punitive hoops to jump through.

I’d kinda like the loom trink on my healer and the tanky one on my tank . Cba to do normal or higher and it’ll take me the week or longer to do 4 m+'s. Just let people let their hair down.

So, that means I don’t get to have fun? Because your fun is more important?
I won’t accept that.

If someone thinks other players shouldn’t ‘get access to things’, then honestly; they’re bad human beings who shouldn’t be listened to. But that’s just one thing…

The fact that Blizzard as a company is making this kind of decision is just baffling.
They’re screwing over such a huge part of their playerbase; I just don’t understand how they can think it’s okay.

Because it’s not just ‘casuals’, it’s top M+ players too who are getting screwed over.

This last breath of the final season of an expansion should be exciting, fun, inclusive.
It’s none of those things.

I seriously fail to see why blizzard “Experiment”, the past interactions of Dinar people loved and praised, it took nothing away from people and it did nothing but good for the game…and Blizzards only take away from that “Experiment” was “Oh No, people enjoy this…quick, kill the system”

You cant convince me that the game isn’t run by AI and the only people devs are hellbent running the game into the ground.

Yeah, it’s insane…
With every new iteration of the ‘dinar system’ they’ve made it less inclusive and less fun.
There is something seriously wrong at Blizzard HQ.

This!
There’s absolutely no point in gatekeeping at this point in time.
For those who it matters, they have acquired their achievements and gear by now.
Let the rest eat the cake crumbs.

Pretty sure i dropped that from a T8 delve last night - wondering if its better than the one from Ara Kara now…

Im a believer that Blizzard as a company deserves to go belly up in the next 5 years, they’ve hardly done anything right since legion. They’re so desperate to “impove” over the legacy devs that they removed almost everything that made wow fun.

I’m secretly hoping that this addon change ends up being an absolute disaster to the point where the hall of fame even fails to fill up and game becomes unacceptable to even to “elite” players let alone the casuals and ends up cascading into a mass exodus.

Never waste your time arguing with someone from AD, it’s like talking to a wall. Blacklist them and move on.

I don’t want the company to disappear.
World of Warcraft is honestly a fun activity for me on the social aspect.

What I do want to see is a revamp of the company.
And people back there that actually know what they are doing.
We have had way too many “accidents” that are simply inexcusable for a company like Blizzard.

No. Blizzard decides what they think is fun, the literal designers. We as consumers say if we like it or not. But they have no obligation to change their game to our needs. They only do so because games like WoW are a hard business where they want to get the most out of as little as possible, like every other business.

If this were a singleplayer game, they would tell you to F-off and play another game or deal with it if they would have the integrity to do so.

I still remember how many people complained when buying Baldurs Gate 3 that it is a turnbased combat RPG. And yet it won MULTIPLE AWARDS.

No. It’s one thing to say “you shouldn’t have that” and a completely different thing to say “you shouldn’t have that unless you earned it like everyone else through play”. That’s a fundamental difference universes apart.

If Blizzard thinks “yeah, we want Turbo Boost only to be part of not-matchmaking content”, then you, like everyone else, should have to engage with the content that doesn’t have matchmaking, step outside of your comfort zone and try something new for once.

Honestly, your mentality is literally “I press button, I should win” from my perspective. And that’s incredibly annoying for RPG games as feedback. If you want to win easily, don’t pick the god damn game genre that is build on long-term progression through making decisions in both gameplay and story to win after a long time investment the game. :anger::right_anger_bubble:

There are so many games out there that specifically target the type of progression YOU want. Yet you come here, to a game that doesn’t entirely center around it, and constantly do this “tug-o-war” over whom should be the primary target audience.

Blizzard already does their best to appeal to both casuals and hardcore players. And yet that isn’t enough for you. You have delves, you have LFR, you have dungeon finder, you have the FREAKING VAULT. And yet it is never enough. You casuals always want more like a bottomless barrel, until nothing is left.

As a Mythic+ player, I see no real issue with this. We already have it super easy in this game with an infinite keystone grind that has no loot lockout unlike Raids. It is only fair that we have to face some limitations as well.

The thing is, this entire Turbo Boost is meant as a compensation for Raids to getting the short stick due to RNG and loot lockouts. And yet you turn it into some “favoritism for raiders” by bringing up Mythic+ that is still the easiest PvE pillar to get gear from in this game!

You are constantly changing goalposts and it’s freaking annoying.

I want my gear. NOW.
BLIZZARD. CHANGE. IT. NOW.

^who am I?

Very dishonest take tbh. Loot from end dungeon chest is useless after week 1 of a new patch

About what ? You dont even do any content by your own choince where those trinkets would make any difference

So is it for every other loot in the game. Sunsetting isn’t just a thing for M+.

Hope they do that with your bleating about holy palas then you hypocrite.

You can’t possibly believe that? It’s an engagement metric to keep people on the treadmill.

Neither do I but its reached a point where we won’t see any major changes to their design philosophy unless their wallet is on fire.

I doubt even this matters at this point.

Its personal vendetta of Ion against caduals.

Untill he is fired nothing in game will change.

Hopefully fellowship kicks strongly their m+ engagement meters as it look really interesting atm

I personally do not have any qualms with their design philosophy.
I have qualms with the following:

  • Crazy lag server side that’s not even being acknowledged
  • Random patches that suddenly break connectivity
  • Issues reported for things that used to work, and suddenly break and not being fixed
  • Regression on various things that stop working
  • Tuning focused always on MDI/Top raiding guilds, not the majority of players
  • EU being an afterthought
  • No GameMasters
  • No actual support

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
For a company making millions, even billions, I expect a better service.
