No Turbo Boost for Casuals. WHY Blizzard?

No but it destroys the game reward structure which I find fun.
Why bother to difficult content to chance those rarer pixels if Blizz will just hand them over for free/discount mid-season?
Even when I play shooter game with rankings. Say OW1.
I personally dont care if you are Grand Master and I am in diamond or gold.
But if Blizz suddently decided to give bronze people grandmasters for “lolz” then it would destroy my fun in working up the lader.

THe issue is not whenever Tah or you gets item X or whatever. You are right. I coulnt care less what you or Tah have equiped but if Blizzard twists the reward structure so much that you start to question “why bother”…then yeah. its an issue.

But I am already wondering “why bother”
Why bother suffer Mythic raids when you can get the gear from far easier sources?
Why bother suffering in the M+ queue when I can just ask 4 friends, run one dungeon and get my Vault to hand me Mythic gear and upgrade it through delves?

Sounds more like you people suffered for not getting gear easy, and now want the rest to suffer equally.

How are the rest “suddently” suffering?
For the rest, nothing has changed. If you for example couldn’t kill soulhunters mythic then you still wont be able to get the mythic boots from them…unless you kill them ofc.

Hardly. You guys dont raid or do m+, you guys dont need gear. Simple as that.

Not your decision

Not yours either.
Its Blizzards and Blizzard decides themselves not what Keento or Tah demands of them from the forums.

Then why are you arguing in this thread?

Forum PvP is always fun!

Also have put a wrench in some folk’s “But the majority agrees with me” logic with having a visible dissenting opinion.

If this would be the general practice, most would say “eh, why should I play endgame content start-to-mid season when I can just wait for end of season and get everything easier?”

This phenomenon is called “path of least resistance” in game design. It’s when players take, even if it is mindnumbingly boring, the least fun path to earn progress, reward or power in a game to overcome an obstacle, instead of facing the obstacle the intended way.

Just to link something from Destiny 1 uploaded 11 years ago when the game came out… Back then when the game was new, loot was rare. What did players do? Go to a location where enemy spawns are very frequent and farm enemies for the drop chances instead of playing the actual endgame activities.

Different game, same problem like the Rare farming in MoP and Legion Remix before it got patched.

And here is the thing, Blizzard likely did change the turbo boost event thing especially because of that. So that players CAN’T brute-force through LFR their access to powerful gear easily. Because one of the core ideas of WoW is, that power must be earned. Always has been.

This has nothing to do with “player skill”. I am quite sure Tah is even more than capable as a person to run a few +2 keys or even do in a LFG group a respective raid to get this quest done with. But because Tah is lazy and can’t handle to engage with content difficulties Tah doesn’t want to play, Tah goes to the forum (like similar-minded users) and complains instead of playing the damn game. Tah and you others sharing the same thought are literally demanding for a path of least resistance, even if it is just temporary.

It does make the forums more entertaining to read though so give credit where its due!

And you get to decide that? I think not. Blizzard made the right decision. It was introduced as a bad luck protection, not as a “free loot for all” mechanic.
I asked my guild to help me get 6/8m so i can buy the dinar stuff (i dont raid this season).

You…were in a guild and actually socialised with others to help you in a MMO game?

Get out of here you heretic. Only “singles with social anxiety” are allowed on these forums.

Why? I mean you could always find friends and do the higher difficulties.

What ancient dark magic is this “socializing”?

It could be so easy for everyone :stuck_out_tongue:

MoP Remix ended either at the start of pre-patch or start of TWW (I don’t remember which exactly but it coinsided with one of these events). If we are to judge by that, Midnight or the very least Mignight prepatch should come in 90-ish days/3 months.

I’m in a casual HC raiding guild that does Ahead of the Curve and Glory every season and then basicly goes back to sleep.

So i’ve jumped through all the hoops on my main character and was somewhat looking forward to getting a nice bit of HC gear on my many alts like i did last time.
And maybe pick up that one trinket that never dropped on my main, but as it’s the end of the expansion, i’m not too bothered.

Unfortunatly it seems that LFR on alts is now a bit of a waste of time.
Also, it seems that my alts can not even get the HC gear unless the content was done on that alt, so much for warband…

So unless the end of this season gets a bit more alt friendly i’ll be back for Midnight and join the rest of my guild in slumber

My progression path is actually more than decent compared with ‘anytime before TWW’.
That’s the sad part.

I would be too.
But that’s not the case with this event; I’m getting absolutely nothing.

Give me an example then. Quote me.

I don’t care what you believe; that doesn’t change anything.
I do take issue with you basically calling me a liar, though.

Being included in an event is not ‘being babysit’. If it is; then mythic raiders are 100% being babysit here.

Try harder at coming up with actual arguments. :dracthyr_shrug:

That’s not true. Only when you act like an elitist douche.

The event has a target audiance. Not everyone.
Alt-o-holics, Collectors, RPers, WQs, even pure PvPers dont’t get anything from it.

You can’t be “exluded” from an event if the event wasn’t even targeting you in the first place.

And yet it did include me for the past couple of iterations.
Gives me all the more reason to be upset now.

I don’t understand why you’re defending this horrible nonsense.
I really don’t.
