Yep this method took me 14 years on my main to eventually get the Love Rocket to drop for me. Some players in our guild have been playing for a few more years before me and they still don’t have the mount, and they have an army of alts they use.
That quest is suppose to give you a goody basket that could contain the rug as far as I know.
I’m doing it on every 70 once a day but I don’t have that many these days.
All this love rocket feedback was bull because if they learn from it they’d never do anything like this again.
Spitting in players faces yet again I see.

im actually at 10th char and now i have 3 dress pieces. unfortunately is sometimes bugged
TBH Im happy with the way they do things for these drops… increased chance on the first try of the day and tiny chance after that.
Means I can just do it once a day and then move on with my life!

Thank you so much for that … I’d killed it on my 5 eligible alts and assumed the mount would drop from the boss.
I went back and handed in all the quest items.
Of course, I didn’t get the mount from the baskets but I had a lot more chance of it and didn’t lose a day’s attempts

seems like they hotfixed the sharing.
yes, and instead of 1 hour it will take me 6 hours each day to try to get the mount. but hey its my choice. not complaining.
Blizzard hasn’t learned anything and they never will. Why couldn’t this mount instead be sold from the vendor for 1000 Noblegarden Chocolate instead?
Or if they want us to do this damn duck boss, just have the boss guarantee dropping a currency and say you need 3 of that currency to buy it. At least then you’re “forced” to kill it a few times.
1% chance from a daily event, limited to 1 week is insane. And it’s not even a cool mount, merely the ugliest recolor of all the carpets yet in the game.
And on top of that they make the quest un-shareable??
It wouldn’t be as bad if the duck boss didn’t have such a long respawn time.
10 minutes isn’t very long, but it still it when you feel like you need to do it on every character, every day. And it even has a chance to bug out, making you wait an extra 10 minutes.
If it spawned every minute after being killed, it would be less tedious, but still extremely annoying that they keep up this FOMO BS on low % drop rates for seasonal rewards.

Blizzard has reached a new low point with this. Again.
Devs are competing among them to make world events worse than the previous one. I can’t wait to see what abomination we will have next Christmas, the only event they still haven’t “improved.”
Adding 1% daily drops to other 2-3 weeks events wasn’t enough. They need to now going beyond that and have a 1% daily drop for a one single week.
I am wary of the fact it’s April Fool’s day so we’ll see if that info stays the same tomorrow.
Why we cant buy mount with egg instead of logging 1000 alts every day? Also It is recolor mount and it is completetly joke! This is so embarassing, Blizzard!

I got it on my 4th try. If only I had anywhere near this amount of luck with raid trinkets.
