Non-evoker Dracthyr voice over issues

The same problem with my female dracthyr. She has no voice with any emote and in combat she sounds like a male.

It is annoying and I hope someone can help fix this.

Hi Moromi,

I’m not sure what was going on back in 2022 with this, so I locked the older thread and moved your post here as we do have a known issue matching your description that was introduced sometime in The War Within.

In the future, it’s generally better to start a new topic instead of necro years-old threads.

Hopefully the issue can be addressed soon in any case!

My FEMALE dracthyr Hunter has no sounds when doing emotes, or male voice lines when taking damage.
This is only true in dragon form. When using visage, everything works as intended.
As far as I’m aware, this has been an issue since dracthyr got additional classes and is only bugged for NON-Evokers. Evokers themselves work correctly.

They will just fix it with giving us another 90euro mount as a bribe to make us forget about stuff like this

Same with warriors no emote sounds

I get that it’s lower on the priority list of fixing things, but as a roleplayer, this really bugs me…
Can we maybe get a “we know” on this?

Yeah, while this isn’t the biggest issue we have right now, it’s certainly up there in the list of “This is probably an easy enough fix.” and it’s odd that it hasn’t been addressed.

Actually it does affect Evoker Dracthyr as well, in Dragon form I have no voicelines anymore.

and whose fault is that?
just food for thought.

I am too having this issue, but on an evoker dracthyr. And i am quite frustrated with this.

Hello!
I am here to try and bring more attention to the missing voice audio for Dracthyrs. Both for Evoker and other classes, there remains bugs and issues with voice audio. Most frustratingly this issue is met with utter silence. Despite having been going on since October 2024 for non-evokers and since at least December 2024 for Evokers. We are now in mid May 2025. Over 6 months of this issue. I have found no responses from support on other forum threads or mentions of support being aware and looking into a fix for this problem.

What I’ve found so far:
1: On my body 2 Evoker there is no audio on voiced emotes (like /laugh), no audio on error messages (like “I don’t have a target”) or battle responses outside of Visage form. There is an audio for fall damage with the body 2 voice. However using Aerial Halt during Soaring Flight plays the wrong Audio, body 1 voice on my body 2 Dracthyr.

2: I noticed on a newly created Dracthyr Mage, also body 2, that the voiced emotes work, as does the error messages however the fall damage audio was wrong. On my body 2 Dracthyr Mage it played body 1 voice when I fell and took damage.

Please, for the love of the Light, look into this! It ruins gameplay massively.

Adding another issue I suspect is related:
I played my druid this morning and I know that my Night Elf druid would have voiced error messages even in her different forms but they are also gone.

This issue has been going on for too long at this point.
I’ve been missing hearing my dracthyr’s voiced emotes.

Hey there Anarastrasza,

Can’t fault you for not finding it as I had to do some digging as well, but we I’ve moved your post over to the older existing thread about this.

Unfortunately it is, as you noted, still ongoing and we’ve not had any updates regarding a possible fix yet.

We are aware though and even if it might not be getting the highest priority versus other bugs, I hope it can be addressed eventually!

To be honest, “I hope it can be addressed eventually” is not a reassuring statement when it comes to an entire race and an entire class having missing or broken voice lines for 8 months. Between this and all the other cosmetic issues with dracthyr, it just feels like Blizzard is perfectly content to leave them unpolished and unfinished, with the worst possible opportunities for roleplay and customization out of all the races.

Sure, this isn’t a gameplay bug or a major exploit, but it is important, and it’s something that should have been addressed sooner rather than later. Your character’s appearance and voice are deeply connected to your experience of the game, regardless of what you choose to do in it. Every single player, from LFR heroes to cutting edge raiders, from low-level delvers to keystone legends, from completionists to casual questers, experiences Azeroth through their character.

I have mained a dracthyr evoker since the Dragonflight beta. I’ve fallen in love with everything about them. I’ve never connected to a video game character so strongly than when my curious little lizard explored the Dragon Isles. I quit WoW “forever” at the start of Dragonflight (well, technically I quit Wrath. Dragonflight was just collateral damage), but it was my love for my character and the world that brought me back, pushed me to try out raiding just one more time, and led me to a guild full of lifelong friends. It’s not an exaggeration to say that dracthyr and Dragonflight changed my life.

Which is why it’s so upsetting for me to see yet another display of apathy when it comes to dracthyr. I already don’t get to have transmog. Everyone else gets transmog! Tauren get transmog. Draenei get transmog. Worgen get transmog. Vulpera get transmog. Dracthyr don’t, you see, because it’s too hard to make something work for their body shape.

So instead, I get pauldrons, a belt buckle, and a drape. I don’t get to have cool tier sets to look forward to each patch. I don’t get new and interesting trading post appearances. I get three things. Weapons barely even count; the majority of them vanish into the Twisting Nether as soon as you realize you accidentally right-clicked that squirrel, even my legendary. I mean, I’ve done what I could with that—the Waist of Time ties my bronze dragon outfit together perfectly!—but… I used to love collecting transmog appearances, and now I’ve lost all the fun from that. What’s the point? I can make a number in my collection go up, but I will never be able to use it.

I don’t get to pick the visage that represents me. That’s what a visage form is all about, right? But as a dracthyr, I hope you like weird half elf creatures because you don’t get to make that choice! Dragons in Warcraft have had so many varied visage forms! When I first heard about dracthyr getting a visage, I was overjoyed, only to have my dreams crushed. I had always hoped that dracthyr would eventually see other options for their visage race, but the addition of dracthyr to other classes has confirmed that I will never be able to use a visage I enjoy.

I don’t get to use toys. There’s a ton of toys that give you fun appearances that do absolutely nothing as a dracthyr. Transformation toys “work”, but the animations I end up with are awkward and bad for gameplay. Sure, I can pretend I’m in my “visage form” 50% of the time with a Gleeful Glamour, but it breaks the animation for Hover, leading me to not be able to tell if it’s even active (yes, that has led to my death before). That’s not to mention Deep Breath or Dream Flight. Oh and of course, you don’t get toys to turn you into dracthyr. No Gleeful Glamor - Dracthyr for you.

I don’t get to play monks. Every single race can be a monk, except for dracthyr. To be fair, I don’t play monk anyways, but I’m sure a bunch of people were looking forward to making a kung-fu lizard. It’s too hard, you see, to give dracthyr monk animations. Everyone else gets them, except you!

And now, I don’t even get to have a voice anymore. I lost a core aspect of my character more than half a year ago with no end in sight. Just another thing to add to the list.

It would appear I’ve gone on a bit of a rant (I promise I actually enjoy this game lol). Well, my point is, it’s genuinely pretty upsetting to feel neglected like this month after month. I have a lot of passion for WoW, and it’s not exactly a great feeling to have that passion stifled by apathy. And it’s not realistically ever gonna change. We won’t ever see new visage races, or full transmog for dracthyr, and I’d be surprised if we got our voices back before the Last Titan. These issues are just not important enough for the team, I guess, don’t affect enough people. Priority set to “Low”. Tag set to “Will Not Fix”. Closed as “Resolved”.

I hope it can be addressed eventually.

11.2 is finally here.
Had hoped for a fix for this. But i guess i held out my hopes for naught

It’s utterly unacceptable that dracthyr are about to go an entire year without something as basic as voice lines, with no plans to ever fix it. I like TWW, but the quality control has been abysmal.

Fun fact: dracthyr aren’t the only ones with bugged voice lines! Shapeshifted druids have had completely broken voice lines since October of 2022. If Blizzard can’t even be bothered to fix a bug affecting the second-most popular class after nearly three years, then I suppose it’s hopeless to expect a bugfix for the least popular class, eh?

Just came back after a long break, and found this to still be an issue. Disappointing.

Bug fixing is at really bad state

Hello!
I appreciate the reply.
I recently came back after taking a break for several months… To still find this to be an issue. About a year now. I can’t play my Dracthyr Evoker, it simply bugs me too much. It is so disheartening that the quality of the game is being set aside. Commenting to keep this thread alive.
