I was wondering about the Thornspeakers since it’s such a unique facet of druidism that is as far as we know, exclusive to the Drust and Kul Tiran descendants of the Thornspeakers. The idea that druids can function on the other side of the spectrum, seems perfectly pliable though.
How solid do you think the headcanon of roleplaying a thornspeaker that isn’t a drust or kul tiran, is?
Obviously, it wouldn’t be called a thornspeaker, maybe not even anything outside of a title to indicate the difference.
Uhm… if its not a thornspeaker then he is not a tornspeaker
Druid of decay? Compost? The end of the natural cycle, autum and winter, death and decay? The dead stuff in the ground where from the new life blossom?
I don’t know how you could misunderstand.
You understand that Druid lore has largely revolved around the preservation of life and both Tauren as well as Night Elven quests would cover in pretty significant detail: That the taking of a life was something only done out of necessity and something like hunters were to keep to certain principles (such as never hunting for sport).
The diablo 3-esque necromancer approach to preserving ‘the cycle’, where your mission would typically revolve around the taking of a life, rather than the preservation, but still while remaining within a frame of nobility and dignified purposes.
A thornspeaker doesn’t really have anything unique going on that couldn’t apply to other races and cultures of druids imo, but that’s headcanon.
