Noob questions regarding Mithic 0

Hello everyone.

Recently, I was advised by another player to do 4xMyth runs for a Heroic Raid piece.
Just do Ruby Llife Pools M0 4 times in a row.

However I never played this mode, except for one time, where my Guild invited my BE Hunter to do a Mithic dungeon, during Legion expansion.

I know, people have to create a group in LFG and wait for people to join. It can take Hours depending on how many players are interested in joining.

Now how does it work ?
Do you create the Group at the entrance of the dungeon, walk inside and choose to Mithic + ?
If the key isn’t finished in time, does it still counts, in the 4 weekly dungeons, you need to complete the quest ?
If the key that was assigned to you (none at the start), after you complete the dungeon (upgraded to +1 if completed in time) is for another dungeon, do I have to downgraded it, so I can create another group for that same Dungeon ?
Or is just: create 4 groups to that dungeon, walk in and start ?

Sorry for so many questions, but last time, I used a tool similar to this one, was during TBC, when I was leveling my Forsaken Priest, in Hellfire Peninsula.

It’s impossible to do this quest in my 25 characters, but in order to speed things up, I was thinking to go with healing characters first, like my 2 BE Paladins, followed by Tank characters, like my 5 Warriors and leave the DPS characters for last (probably none will want to join), like my 4 Hunters.

I’m not interested in Mithic dungeons, I already watched a YouTube video regarding Ruby Life Pools and I think the possibility of screw ups is going to be massive.
I was thinking in advertising something like:
“Ruby Life Pools, Mithic 0. Noob run for the 4 weekly Mithic dungeons completion.
Please take it slowly.”

Thanks for your attention.
Cheers.

If you are doing Mythic difficulty and not Mythic plus there is no timer involved. You form a group in the group finder and enter the dungeon, making sure it’s set to mythic difficulty, and run it. The player base refers to this as M0. It’s just slightly more difficult than Heroic but you don’t notice a huge difference.

If you were doing M+ you would need to put a key in the font at the start, timing is not relevant for the weekly quest. You would need to have someone with a key for that dungeon. It would probably be easier to find a +2 listed and join them.

Thank you, Punyelf :smile:

Don’t mythic dungeons (non keystones) have a lockout?

Also as far as a +2 keystone goes I believe it has the same scaling as a m0 dungeon except for the affix, which at +2 is either Tyrannical (bosses are harder) or Fortified (trash mobs are harder). This week is a Tyrannical week btw (all affixes are predetermined each week).

Loot lockout only. You can to play same dungeon as many times as you want and it does count for weekly.

Good thing then. With all the different lockout types I wasn’t aware which one it was for dungeons.

Mythic = weekly lockout
Heroic = daily lockout
Normal = no lockout

Lockout applies to loot only. You can to play any dungeon on any difficulty as much as you want.

Of course, if m0 rewards are upgrade for that particular character, then it’s better to complete weekly by doing four different dungeons.

Heroics don’t have a lockout since SL, older heroic dungeons still have daily lockouts though. Also I believe megadungeon heroics (Karazhan, Mechagon) never had lockouts.

Also the support site isn’t very consistent with its info about dungeon lockouts, claiming they’re instance based in some places.

Really? that’s nice change indeed.

Yeah I think because some legendary memories were dungeon drops and unlike raid memories they weren’t guaranteed drops so people needed to farm the dungeons.

Now, I feel like a donkey :horse:, for doing so many heroic dungeons, on my BE Hunter, for a whole day, in LFD, during BFA :rage:

Thanks for the replies everyone :smile:

Not 100% sure, but i think that LFD will place you in grp for dungeons which you have not cleared that day. Doesn’t apply if you manually select specific dungeons ofc.

Mythic is the normal dungeon without and keystone inserted, you can only get loot from it once a week.

If you have a keystone for the dungeon you can insert it, and the mythic dungeon will become a m+ dungeon.

If you did them on random it bypassed the daily lockout, if you had tried to queue for a specific one you had already done you would have seen it wouldn’t have been available.

This is also what makes me think that loot based lockout is either a recent change for mythic dungeons or it was only for them.
