Normal dungeon finder

Im guessing you started playing WoW around Legion, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But WoW Classic exist because we who played Vanilla wanted a way to play the game we grew up with.

Group Finder is one of those things that was not in the game at the time, and tbh one of the changes I personally disliked the most. Group Finder took away a big social aspect of the game that is not even remotely present in retail WoW today. While some changes (we’re talking balancing changes, or major glitches or bugs) are something im glad to see, because they enhance the Vanilla experience, not replace it.

Just get the addon bulletin board jeezus. Your solution with a single click.

No need to shi**-post the boards with stuff that nobody wants.

@op, there is a addon for this. check it out on curseforge.

Ok what is your ‘vanilla experience’ while leveling an alt in original tbc then?
My personal experience is that there were plenty of ppl leveling alts you could form a dungeon group with.
OP says he cant find ppl.
Mb, just mb, it is already not the ‘vanilla experience’ and mb, it was never meant to be :astonished:

Dungeon finder is just a covering for a massive fundamental flaw in game design in which the players are being completely robbed of a social experience, dungeon finder really only makes it worse.

I wouldn’t say dungeon finder would solve the issue which is lack of people as an example I play on bloodfang where horde population has slowly gone down and atm there’s around 600 players according to ironforgepro and basically you can’t find any groups before 23:00 and then there are few same groups trying to find people for hours.

For a moment I thought to level char on Gehennas or buy boosted one but anyway even though the lfg and world chat looks good what comes to all different level dungeons, boosting etc. that wouldn’t solve the current pvp issue and for that reason I’ll be just raid logging on tbc and started to play retail again after stopped that couple months after SL launch.

So everybody was unemployed and 15 years old 2007?

If its to much time to invest and you feel its a job, play something else and stop behaving like child. No wonder some people are drawn to WoW to escape reality when everything in their life is a goddamm chore, even their hobby.

I’m already seeing more and more issues with finding groups for the lower (low 60’s) dungeons as people move on to raids and HM dungeons. People levelling from scratch or levelling alts are finding it harder and harder to find groups in their server. trying to find groups for rep grind is also getting harder for some dungeons, and that’s on a full server. It must be awful further down the food chain.

A proper cross realm LFG for normal dungeons would alleviate this issue without affecting the lvl70 players at all. maybe introduce it for normals only to start with and then see how it goes before bringing it in for heroics (which personally I think they shouldn’t do).

Whether it was a feature or not in TBC I could care less- if it makes playing the game more enjoyable for the majority (not the vocal purists tiny minority) and for bringing up alts etc then i’m all for it.

this. tbh
I totally understood it was not in classic WoW because leveling up to 60 was such a huge part of the experience.

But with tbcc its different. Leveling from 1-60 is not a big part of the tbc experience.
Why do we want to have a game that is less fun than it could be? Especially if it only affects a part of the addon that is not rly part of the addon?

i wish they would consider it to implement . the low pop realms are suffering allot by shortage of tank/ healers. is a pain to find tanks heal for lower dungeon and lvls even on high pop servers don’t wanna imagine how much is on medium low sv. i am in favour to implementing the looking for dungeon asp. is a necessity nowadays

What´s merc mode tho.

That

i agree, there should be a LFG tool for level 10-58 only. So u could do normal dungeons faster to level.

Ah yes, but boosts, store mounts and mercenary mode is completely fine.
Face it, the “classic ideal” is dead, might as well go full retail with a Burning Crusade veneer. Screw it, might as well get some nice things while we’re at it like dual spec.

dual spec came in wotlk and is clearly a product of the classic era WoW.

Dual specc would be lovely.

I wouldn’t mind if they had cross realm grouping like that bug at start of classic.
The problem i have is with Automatic group formation and teleportation to dungeons.
The bug was that you could invite people from other realms to group via /invite [name]-[realm-name] and enter the same dungeons.
Since you already know the person i see no problem with that.

talking about for finding random players for dungeons not players you already know. all classic dungeons are impossible to do and even outland normal dungeons are very tough to find grps for normal dungeon finder especially cross realm would help with this issue.
