Normal dungeon finder

All I can find is him going into it that making the group is time consuming, show me the part with crossrealm and port

If you need LFG tool, dual spec and similar QQL stuff, then I think Classic TBC simply is not the game for you.
More convenience does not equal a better game.
Sometimes having to take the longer route, is what makes the game better.

One thing I dislike about retail WoW is the metaslaves yelling “GOGOGOGO” in dungeons, everything needs to HAPPEN RIGHT NOW!!!, and doing a raid and only getting 1 loot? WHAT THE HELL BLIZZ.

No.

Dont introduce more QQL stuff in Classic TBC.

Okay. This shows he wants it to teleport to dungeon:

His reply to this shows he wants it cross-realm:

I’ve been reading the posts on the US forums lately and most of them are either focused on trivial matters or the recent HvH BGs change. The majority there seem to agree that this is a drastic change and express concerns over it. Not a single post in the main page that’s asking for dungeon finder or such.

Now I come here only to see post after post about how ‘alliance are whinning’ or ‘add dungeon finder’. I’m just glad that Blizz doesn’t care about these forums. This is hell containment.

I support you OP, wasting 1-2 hours trying to find a tank and Healer is really pathetic.

I can see the usefulness in this feature getting teleported to the dungeon and escape the inevitable ganking that horde executes at the summoning stones…

However i wasnt a big fan on the WOTLK dungeon system in the end, where as pugs could be outright cancerous, (Atleast since it worked across multiple realms) people ragequitting like babies. This happens now and then now aswell. Theres lack of respect at times and its highly likely you never see these ppl again as they are not a part of your server community.

I think its a bad idea

Not gona happen even if we want it xD

Guess we will have to wait and see then because as ive said to many wearing nostalgia goggles and don’t want to admit that game mechanics which exist only to waste your time aren’t nearly as good as you remember them and if the numbers continue to fall and groups get harder to form maybe more people will realise how useful this would be in the game.

I don’t understand why would you want a dungeon finder. I thought Blizzard promissed to add a group finder. Is it still not in the game? That should be enough.

Automated dungeon finder is never a good solution.

There are plenty of working addons like Bulletin board.

I think dungeon finder is the one thing almost all of us agree they should not introduce. It changes the whole game dynamic and social aspect, just use lfg bulletin board for an easier time finding people. I’d be fine with them introducing the looking for group function from retail (where you can advertise your group), but dungeon finder is such a terrible idea. Stop it.

Ok. Stop same-faction bg please. It’s not classic exxperience at all.

I think this is a load of crap.

When Classic started, I agreed with this. And the first few months of Classic were filled with a lot of positive social interaction. But over the last two years, that positivity has eroded and the sweaty tryhard factor has arrived in full force.

I now understand why Dungeon Finder was added, and while Blizzard went too far with it (the extra goodies just for using it is the worst part of it, and I don’t care for the insta-teleport when the group is formed), I think it would be an excellent idea. And the fact of the matter is, those of you who are against it wouldn’t be forced to use it. You can LFG/LFM until the cows come home and find like-minded people like yourselves while others enjoy using the resource that makes looking for a group easier.

Absolutely agree with this. Anyone trying to imply that the current social interaction of TBC classic is so good that it shouldn’t be potentially put at risk by introducing Group Finder is lying to themselves.

Social interaction in TBC is awful in anything but a guild environment. I have joined groups for dungeons whilst leveling who have literally not even said hello or goodbye to each other. Forming groups consists of spamming channels with “LFM for ‘dungeon x’” and you get a whisper back saying “inv” and that’s it…

In open world questing people (mostly) don’t even group for kill quests or group quests anymore.

Stop acting like this is the same social sanctuary that it was during vanilla tbc cause it is not. The meta of “gogogo” and rush rush rush is already firmly here, considering that most guilds are already clearing ML, GL and Kara regularly and most groups are ignoring normals and only doing heroics.

In my opinion blizzard should now just go full TBC Classic+. Dungeon finder (for both heroic and normal), dual spec, heroic keys at honored, active ability balancing, wow token (I know that at least 60% of my old guild were buying gold anyway), faction transfers, realm transfers, etc.

This is NOT The Burning Crusade, stop pretending it is.

I have had plenty of friendly interactions with pugs. Must be a you problem.

I’d be happy with dungeon finder in TBC.
If its limited to the server and doesn’t instantly teleport you into the dungeon, I don’t see how its any different to sitting with the LookingforGroup channel open and whispering “Need an X?” to someone whose typed LFM SV HC (Daily).

Pushing a button to join a queue makes much more sense than spamming the above every 20 seconds for an hour.

LFG tool is much better for this kind of content, because if it were automated dungeon finder, ppl would just kick you and relist till they have their mage/rogue/we they need. Or you could be stuck with ppl at the end of winterspring without port rdy if theres no teleport. That would be very annoying too.

Cross realm automated dungeon finder with teleport for classic content / LFG for tbc content. All problems solved.
