Normal raid ridiculously overtuned

Wiping on normal Halondrus in a raid with average ilevel of 250, 2 ilevels below the loot that drops. Isn’t normal mode supposed to the “friends and family” experience? It feels like a heroic boss. If normal is like this I can’t even imagine what pugging heroic will be like. A +8 dungeon would give the same ilevel for much less effort. This is ridiculous. Please get rid of Ion.

Yes, this IS ridiculous. I don’t think I’m gonna raid this tier. It’s just not worth the time and effort.

Content being “friends and family” is not the same as ignore all the mechanics and get free effortless rewards.

It’s good to have raid mechanics like the balls going into the boss that wipe the raid if not executed correctly regardless of what gear you’re in - it makes players better at the game.

no, the damage of everything is overtuned right now. people in 250 ilvl have hard time keeping people up even when mechanics are done right

I mean most of it is due to not having sets/ double legendaries but even then i would have to agree with you, yes this raid tier is overtuned even on Hc+mythic. My best explanation is expansion is more than 1 year away from now so they want raiders busy or something.

Having done normal twice so far I can safely say that’s incorrect.

Playing properly and being sufficient at playing your class/spec is enough to kill the bosses in 240. If you’re 250+ you’re heavily overgearing normal.

Most stupid statement ever. Normal is specifically advertised as something where you’re fine when you carry your grandma through it. It is, as op mentioned, a friends and family experience.

Anduin is a uselessly overtuned Boss and I don’t know why he was not nerfed to the ground already. The algalon fight is a joke in comparison.

I did the raid today with a new guild because pugs were pain and same thing repeated. We absolutely crushed everything before Anduin and spent the rest of raid time wiping on him. 10% was the best we managed to do.

The fight is insanely punishing if you lose even single guy due to boomerangs, we didnt lose anyone to marks.

it’s overtune because you will be playing this patch for 1year… :smiley:
and it’s overtuned because it is tuned for 2 leggos and tier set

Wow your so out of touch in this thread xD. You’ve already cleared most of heroic. A mode where wf raiders struggled their first attempts…

I’m singning it that normal is way overtuned and should be in a league with +8

If you’r struggling on normal halondrus at that ilevel you’re playing suboptimally.

Thats fine, you take less damage / learn better positioning as you pull a few times. That doesn’t mean its overtuned. Friends and family want a bit of challenge too surely? Or does friends and family automatically imply loot pinata?

Then you don’t get it. It’s not just that normal is too hard, it’s why even bother when you get the same loot from doing a much easier and much faster +8 dungeon?

Normal halondrus??? I was sure this was going to be about Anduin, which is actually a difficult boss for normal (especially for pugs) but Halondrus is so easy on normal… I cannot even imagine how you’re having so much trouble with that boss that you must call it overtuned. Your group must be undertuned.

You should try heroic mate :wink: But seriously, I think the raid is really good but just a little overtuned.

The normal raid is not overtuned, you/your guild is just bad. Not the games fault

Actually having done normal with an organised guild raid team it isn’t that bad, must be pugs that are awful. Heroic on the other hand…well I think it is tuned to having double legendaries and tier sets which I have neither of yet so it’s stingy.
