Not all Roleplay is valid

Here’s the thing.
The hot tea if you will.

Not every party host is the same.

There ARE party events out there that fit the setting they are in and don’t completely take a :poop: on the zone they’re in.

Those are the good ones.

I think you’re reading WAY too deep into it, a party in the Tian Monastery, a place where monk initiates go to train and begin their learning is not something that’s very fitting.

Now a party in… Say Gallywix’s Pleasure Palace in Azshara, THAT would be 100000x more fitting and appropriate.

I see them infrequently in random BGs, mostly people from the non-english RP realms. Occasionally there’s one or two from normal realms with TRP installed.

I remember seeing someone from Kazzak of all realms with a full blown TRP not too long ago.

I can only speak for myself here, I haven’t attended any of those events, I’m sure it takes a lot of work to set those up but personally, based on what I read here, I feel like that’s energy that could be better spent elsewhere. Not to dictate what roleplay someone should create, but if someone really likes the Tian Monastery as a location then… why not try and create roleplay which suits that location’s intended purpose in the setting?

I’d like to think a lot more people would be interested in having their character train in the ways of the Monk than in sharing cocktails and comparing bikinis, but maybe I’m being very naive here.

And if you really want to create that kind of social event, because it’s something you enjoy, then maybe it’s a better idea to put it in a location that’s not going to trigger a reaction which you’re then going to ignore.

And those party goers can also easily find a more fitting place than a monks training ground to host their parties.

Don’t blame the people asking for a bit of sensibility and the request to keep things fitting to the zone. (Again, like Tian Monastery.)

Damn they’re taking molly at these events? I’ve been missing out.

Not going to lie, this is the 1st time I’m hearing of the Uldum harem gang’s RP in Zandalar.

I don’t (and i’m sure many here don’t) go stalk them down to find out what they’re doing to harass them.

Mainly because not many of us want to excessively shower after an encounter with them.

But that’s not the energy they want to invest. To them, it’s not better spent elsewhere. It might be to you or to me, but it isn’t for them.

They did kinda find a neutral spot in the turtle beach with the seekers, and people still find a way to get really mad that it’s apparently way too close to Zandalar. At some point it must be frustrating to try to find places that don’t piss off some crowd or other who goes “NOOOO PRETTY PLACE MINE NOT URS DON’T USE MINE”

My main issue is still the really heavy amount of vitriol that comes up whenever they are mentioned… Just look at the number of people who have come out just to voice their distaste about Pandaria, with only two Pandaren commenting (I know folks have alts, but it is kinda telling)

They’re not voicing their distaste about PANDARIA

They’re voicing their distaste about a party event being completely unsuitable and inappropriate for the setting that is Tian Monastery.

A slip of the keys, you know what I meant. We’ve both been reading the same thread.

A pretty big slip of the keys to type out this:

I actually don’t but ok.

Have we? I feel like you’re trying to spin something else here.

my brother in christ

Also NGL-- kinda sad they’re out of Uldum. At least that was (unfortunately) their containment zone.

Always fun to see someone die on the particular hill of the RP that Siavash and his caravan of deviants represent because they host events.

Fits this thread’s entire point like a glove too.

Have we already mentioned to this person what type of RPer Siavash is?

You know… the character dates characters who look underaged?

Why do they always make very out of place parties in areas that don’t suit.

You dont casually enter a monk school. Party hard.
The monks just wouldn’t allow it

Read: 5 lukewarm posts on an off-brand forum thread until you decided to be the champion of people that RP racist charicatures and have an utter disregard for the setting as well as any RPer who doesn’t agree with them. (On top of having relationships with characters described as ‘jailbait’)

Truly you are a hero of the masses for standing against that ABSOLUTELY disproportionate response by repeating yourself over and over with the most banal ‘its their sub!’ tier argument.

I genuinely don’t know the guy, I just haven’t ever seen any evidence of wrongdoing from him or any of his detractors. Worst thing he’s ever done to me is constantly yell about his shop in Dalaran.

Nah, that’s okay, you see, they host festival events and have a Discord. Being a weirdo who appropriates an entire culture to facilitate his sheikhdom harem RP is all-good when you contribute to the community.
