Because the conversation was about whether or not the RP fit the Warcraft setting? At this point we’re not even having the same conversation
Lmao, I forgot about that one. The peak of narcissism.
Oh, absolutely. I’ve been to a market in the Tian Monastery. Which was hosted in the market part of the area. Which sold wonderful Pandaria items.
Including plushies of the Four Celestials. Bought them on my warrior.
What I didn’t see there were vulpera fertility charms or love potions.
Finally bringing the actual cringe! I don’t care about event locations but that is actually the goofiest gaff I’ve heard in a while
The conversation might have shifted from “RP that does not fit into the location” to “RP that does not fit into the universe at all whatsoever” without the first point ever being reconciled whatsoever but that doesn’t remove the problem nor the conversation held about it ad nauseum beforehand.
Point stands regardless.
Not all Roleplay is valid.
Tbh I don’t think we’ll ever move from the soapbox of who should RP what where
For real? Damn…

A bit unrelated, but this was their seal so they claim their neutrality by the grace of the Kirin Tor, the Earthern Ring, the Cenarion Circle and the Silver Hand.
It’s got the star around it so I’d say it’s an Argent Crusade symbol rather than Silver Hand. But yeah, still weird.
True, my mistake there. It’s the Argent Crusade, as we see here.

Here’s an abomination that just merged the symbols of these organisations together. And, of course, the pyramid is from the tabard of Ramkahen.
Is there a more cursed thing to be endorsed by? Sounds like an endorsement of poor quality to me!
Leave my Argent bros alone okay
Even if Des aint with them anymore.
And this is where people completely forget the point of certain organisations…
Why the ever living hell the Argent Crusade (An a-political faction with the prime directive to protect Azeroth from evil, mostly in regards to the undead and or demons) would be associated with a festival that does neither. Or be unionised with other organisations with different aims for certain similar goals but with highly different approaches… (Like, the only festival they did was the Argent Tournament… Which was made to find specific capable fighters to siege ICC) be affiliated with some bunch of nomadic party goers?
And BEFORE I go on a further rant.
Being affiliated with neutral organisations doesn’t grant you amnesty from faction capitals or being remotely near them. It’s why the argents don’t sent Horde races to Stormwind and Alliance races to Orgrimmar. (Goes also for Silver Hand, now dissolved with BFA to be more alliance, Cenarion Circle, Priesthood, Kirin Tor etc etc)
The Ebon Blade did though, either an oversight from Blizz, or those guys just don’t give a damn
The Argent Dawn did too iirc, them and the EB during the Shadowlands pre-patch.
Probably the only exception given there was a scourge 2.0 outbreak happening at the time.
They’re all corpses. What are they gonna do, protest in Dalaran?
(Probably is an oversight though)
I will try and clarify. The association likely relates to the “Dunedweller Protectorate” which is an organisation that sought to exist as a neutral faction with the effort of settling refugees in Uldum among other things. I think it encompassed stuff like defending Azeroth + the (headcanon) Golden Path faith…
I feel that it unfortunately fell into a trap of being some outside faction within Uldum yet also trying to (I guess?) look after Uldum as a hub but not really being a hub I guess?
Ofc, there’s a lot of headcanon involved among other things within the community which is why I ended up not RPing with them much after a while, as I could only bring myself to ignore as much of my own adherence to the lore.
Incidentally there’s a strong Pandaren theme with that poster.
I get that a non-spiritual festival probably shouldn’t be held in Tian Monastery, I really do. But if it were moved somewhere more appropriate would people suddenly stop caring? I’m not so sure. It seems like this is part of a wider dislike between groups.
If it’s a case like Darkfallen in Stormwind, or Keti Caravan in Orgrimmar then yes, I agree. (These two of course only being comparable in this context: One was obviously worse than the other). The community at large has a right to RP within the confines of the established setting, without being disturbed or having their immersion broke with impossible, obnoxious concepts.
That being said, Tian Monastery aside, is it worth going out of our way to police and gatekeep a handful of events - done by a fairly closed group - in areas which are virtually never used by anyone else, never disturb anyone else, or have any impact whatsoever on the wider AD community?
(Sorry about breaking up that link at the top. I’m still not sure how to include them in posts)

Blizzard recycled this NPC for the Shadowlands pre-patch.
