Not being able to transfer character to different realm

Hi, I am trying to transfer from Bronze Dragonflight to Argent Dawn. I paid for the transfer, but when I went to move my character it said I had items in the AH. I checked and my AH auctions are empty, so is my mailbox. I have checked and do not have any Heirlooms on or even in bags. I put a ticket in yesterday and still have no answer. I do not want to have to create a new character as the one I want to transfer is my original one from way back to around 2011

EDIT: I just heard from a friend that said that if you returned items from an auction you was doing, that it can create an invisble message in your mailbox and that can be the reason why i cannot transfer. So I shall have to udpdate the ticket to cover that too

I have just tried again to transfer, stil no luck. 2 days since I put in the ticket support and Blizzard hasnt even bothered to answer

Day 3 Update: I got a response from Blizzard… “log on and wait five minutes and try again… Or try after a normal weekly update”. They call this ‘support’?

Sorry to hear that your first ticket didn’t resolve the issue.

I’m not seeing any mail on this character, however it looks like you have an heirloom item in your bank, which would block character transfers. Please do use it (or get rid of it) and try again.

If the issue persists after this, please do wait for a response on your new ticket, and we should be able to look into your issue. :pray:

I am talking about my main character Silvaclaw on Bronze Dragon Flight. I thionk you been looking at the wrong one.
I have checked Silvaclaw’s Bank and bags and there are no, I repeat NO Heirlooms in the bank nor in the bags I am carrying.

Please can you redo a check, if I cannot get this sorted out by tomorrow Wednesday I will ask for a full refund of the transfer character as Silvaclaw is the only one I want to transfer to Argent Dawn

I have tried as suggested after you did the updates. Again, it failed. Wow, is useless.
I would like a refund on the trasfer character charge.

I see that you currently have a ticket open, and a game master should answer soon. I know this is a frustrating situation, and we’re trying to sort this out for you.

A GM, deleted Silvaclaw to restore her back, but then was unable to put her back in the realm, apperently I had too many characters… SO I sorted that out, messaged them to put Silvaclaw back, but nothing, this is so frustrating

Have you replied to the ticket? I believe the game master asked you to come back once the transfer was completed. :slight_smile:

They havent done anything except deleted my character, the character isnt there to transfer. Whoever it was from Blizzard has messed up 100%.
I have done the characters deletion and now I have only 18 characters left, I informed the support over 24hours ago and they have done nothing. I am unimpressed with the fact that they deleted my main character as well as her invent, her gold as well as her bank. I have had her since day one of Battlechest and now this. Please put Silvaclaw back on my realm. Either Bronze Dragonflight or Argent Dawn. Cos right now, I just want her back.
I am upset over the lack of support, this ticket is now 7 days old and all support has done is delet my main!!! I want to play this weekend and it looks like I will not be doing so. Is there support is it now practically non existant?

Restore it yourself, why on earth did you delete it in the first place?

This has nothing to do with maximum realm characters as you can have all your characters on one realm.

Ok Dottie… First thing … Read the thread… I DID NOT DELETE THE CHARACTER!!! The GM deleted her, they tried to restore her, but they then found out they cannot do it.
The issue is this… I paid for transfer character of Silvaclaw, I kept getting an error saying that I had items in the AH… I did not, this went on for three days… In the end I contacted support, eventually support said that THEY tried to see if a deletion of character and a restore of chartacter would help. After the GM deleted her, the GM discovered that they could NOT restore her. There excuse was that I had too many characters on my account and that I needed to delete others. This I did, I then contacted the GM and said I had done what THEY asked and could they now try and restore her. I have had no resonse from the GM in two days.

Really, I saw this.

On retail you can have all your characters on one realm, there is no limit anymore except the total characters on one account. You said nothing about transferring between accounts so this shouldn’t be a factor. I think the limit is 50 or 60 per Warcraft account.

Something funny is going on here.

If I am allowed I will copy and paste from the ticket, what they had done, without their name of course

18 characters is not too many on one account and even on one realm as long as you don’t exceed the maximum per Warcraft account. Something is very fishy here.

You will need to wait until your ticket is answered to see what they say.

After our investigation we think that we may have found what is causing this transfer issue.

In order to make some tests, I had to delete Silvaclaw and found out that I cannot restore her because your account has 62 active characters, which is way above the current limit for an account (50).

This amount of characters on the account is probably what is causing the inability to transfer. In order to be able to fix the issue, I would ask you to delete as much redundant character as you can on the account (at least 17).

I can see that you have plenty unused level 1 characters on various realms such as : Twisting Nether / Burning Legion / Doomhammer / Dragonblight, etc.

Once it will be done, please contact us again and we will be able to restore Silvaclaw. You can then try to transfer her again to Argent Dawn.

I have 18 characters now. Sorry, I cannot reply new ones, as it says I am new!!!

I have now got Silvaclaw back. BUT… She still cannot transfer. I am still getting the same " you have stuff in the AH" 8 days and nothing. I guess I can claim a refund for the cost of the transfer

So did you reduce your character count to 49?

if you did then all you can do is wait.
