No idea what forum PVP is and no idea who you are and why you are also derailing the thread with personal attacks and flagged you as well .

i belved we talked about subs in total classic + retail = 2 mill
there is not single word in post what says it is only retail …

No was talked about retail only in the vids. Hence how they tried to get the numbers .

how ever u look on things the numbers are really bad and the shills trying hard to discredit the data and twist everything as a false information

Fake news, fake news

Send free sub days pls or gold

Cause the info is not valid. The source of it is questionable at best.

I can just say there are 4M active subs and random youtube “star” can say there are 2M.
My “4M” would be dismissed as being pulled out of censored yet the youtuber’s suddenly becomes 100% valid data because… a youtuber said it?

Hmm… idea time. Need to get a youtuber to say that there are 4M players on screen and it will become 100% undisputed truthfull data right?

thats the thing his numbers are backed by data you would just say something

Data which is questionable at best. Based on assumptions and even exludes some region players?
It beats pulling the data from your backside sure…but is no way near being objective.

So, why? and I realise this may be a revolutionary concept, but why not go and do something else, if you don’t like WoW, and make a new thread each week repeating the same videos?

Anyone who disagrees is a ‘Shill’ because you think the word sounds clever (Pro tip: It doesn’t), and heavens forfend some people should still like this game…

That doesn’t suit you?

Then go. Stop playing. Leave the game, and find something you -do- enjoy?

I mean in what other field of endeavour is this the case, whether hobby or employment?

If you worked in a job, and you hated doing it, and suddenly someone made a youtube video saying you could get paid more doing the same job elsewhere, You’d do that, wouldn’t you? You’d be mad not to. You wouldn’t hang round like the spectre at the feast trying to tell everyone else how bad everything is, because, they are allowed an opinion too y’know?

But that is what you are doing here, it is also what the Streamers are doing. You are actively sabotaging the enjoyment of others by constantly harping on about it, whereas a more adult response would be vote with your wallet, kick the dust from your shoes, and let people enjoy things.

But you can’t do that, can you?

Have you ever considered the possibility of just not?
Just not making a post saying exactly the same as you did last week?
Just not giving a damn about other people and how they ‘should’ be having their fun in a manner you deem fitting?

One of the most dishonest things is forum goers and streamers who go “OMG, This is news, this is terrible, I’m only doing it because I love the game and want Blizzard to improve, so I want people to quit, so I’ll Doomsay” are either liar’s or hypocrites.

They’re actively trying to sabotage the game. If they had the courage of their convictions, they’d just walk away and let WoW die or not.

Anyway, this is the third identical thread based on those videos, saying the same thing every time.

Next time think about whether you have any new material. Also, whether we particularly care what they think.

Now go do something fun, and quit worrying about other people having fun.

As I showed in my comment above (#17) Wowranks neither shows nor purports to show the full number for "Active users that hit lvl 60 and choose a covenant”. That is not what the creator of the site is focused on at the moment, and it is not safe to take the total number from that site as reliable for an entirely different purpose.

Trying to get at numbers like this is very tricky. First, one must define one’s terms precisely, and then read explanations of process, and test numbers shown with great care. Blizzard have tried to make it difficult for third parties to get accurate numbers, and they have been competent in that. Blizzard very carefully broke their API to break Realmpop, which I do believe once had pretty accurate numbers of “active” (but how to define that?) characters, so neither Wowranks nor any other source can now do what Realmpop used to do.

As I mentioned, I actually do have “5 toons at lvl 60 with covenant chosen” - in fact, 6 now - but only one of them is included in Wowranks. So the number that Bellular started with of “toons at lvl 60 with covenant chosen” cannot be right, since Wowranks is missing characters. What we can’t know is how wrong it is; my suspicion is that it could be off by a factor of two.

When your starting number is off by that much, it limits what you can say about anything pretty dramatically.

The odd thing is that, for argument purposes, IT DOESN’T MATTER much what the exact numbers are. We can all see that activity is down tremendously since launch, probably by around the 50% that Bellular claims. We don’t know, of course, how many people are stil subbed, but either not playing at all or barely playing, but we can all see that the unseasonal long and early drought in Shadowlands, combined with bad system design decisions and uninspiring theme and gameplay, have had the general effect that Bellular claims.

Who’s the bigger ‘Shill’ someone who supports the company and enjoy the game they pay for, or people like you who continue to support ‘Blizzard’, be it directly or indirectly by continuing to be subbed?

keep in mind that number is across the board… in EU it is more like 200,000 - 500,000 at the most i should think.

i suspect 200k or lower personally.

my guild is dead now … they held on un until 9.1 it was looking promising … but as with most people… the game is just mediocre at best right now and people left and got bored of it.

didnt help that a bunch left to form their own raid team but then that will bite them in the butt because there is no players to recruit in current wow so they will have to resort to pugs…

ah well i just found it funny honestly…

Dont mention horseteethmans name here.

Bruh…

His explanation video was literally making that issue front and centre…or was that just for views? As for his supposed reasoning? Good! One less elitist who thinks the game needs to be focusing on end game elite raiders rather then the majority of the playerbase
