I’m so tired of people (specially Tanks) leaving after a wipe or two. It get worse when you are on the last boss and they leave. It’s unbelievable this type of behaviour. Such a waste of time! Blizzard please… Do something about it. For keys marked as completion please add some sort of protection and punishment against players that leaves mid key. The amount of weekly key is already high, now when u can’t finish it because someone " don’t want to have depleted keys in their logs " is actually BAD (to not say other things).
Your guild, Omnicide, doesn’t run with you? But you got right. Blizzard should disable leave group option on the keys marked with “completion”.
Aww another person angry they didnt get boosted for Free ?
Buy a boost next time or dont fail so much in key
What would rest of people do then if that tank "DC " ? Stay forever in there ?
If you noticed until today, when someone DCed, after some time, the group leader pass to another player.
People will be allowed to leave and the key will be depleted. But you know, they should put a mechanism that finishing the dungeon will be less time-consuming if you join it under the “completion” options.
Theres a addon that allows you to blacklist people so you can start to weed out the toxic, add lillith to the top and you should eventually start getting less toxic people in your keys. Not a good solution but its better than the nothing we have now.
I agree. If key is labeled as “to complete” then some sort of penalty mechanism for leavers should exist.
This is just unrealistic.
Listing a M+ as “to complete” doesn’t guarantee that the group can complete it.
What if a group just can’t complete it? Staying there wiping forever? or everyone get a penalty when the group decides to give up?
Abandoning/leaving a M+ is not a mechanic/system problem, it is a social/people problem. No system can solve people problem.
Lets face it, most of the time people signing up completion keys thinking “oh, i can get into this group easy by saying ill stay” and then just leaving once they realise it’ll be completed but not in time…cuz people love their score and dont care about random people on the internet enough to not screw them over.
It isn’t
It doesn’t indeed
Mechanism can to have timer based option. Let’s say, dungeon timer x2 would be sensible.
And much more often peopel just ignore completion groups because very few people are desperate enough to sign for wipefest
What is even the logic behind this.
Nah.
I don’t care if a key is over time or not but I’m not signing to any “weekly no leaver keys”, like, ever. It attracts really bad people.
You’re more likely to get invited to a casual completion group than a pushing one, some people just want to get a key done for vault but you get people joining for score who usually just ruin the experience for the other 4 people.
You may skip over them, yes. But others don’t and also dont care enough to let them play how they want.
Ye exactly, wonder why.
Enlighten me.
Cause the key marked as completion start on the premise of, completing the dungeon regardless of the timer.
Joining such keys for score is a waste of everyone time
Just remove the deplete.
That’s the actual solution, not to punish players for leaving, because that’s a one size fits all solution that doesn’t account for people who leave for legitimate reasons.
That will never solve the problem.
What if one has a key that he just wants to complete with a group of friends/guildies? After 5 mins into the dungeon, it is clear that they can’t complete it and agree to give up.
So they either leave right now and everyone gets penalty, or afk until dungeon timer x 2 to avoid penalty?
This will not make M+ experience any better, but only encourage degenerate gameplay.
As I said, leaving M+ is a human problem. People does it for many different reasons under many different situations.
No single standardised mechanical system can solve human behavior problem.
