I never understood this, do you really not like any other class or have you just never given it a try? Aside from something like Augwoker, there is no spec in WoW that’s radically different from everything else, so it’s weird to me how someone can boil down the entire experience into that of a single class/spec.
Personally, I get bored within a month max if I only play one class, though I don’t like non-dps roles so it limits classes to basically just specs.
Honestly I think the OP has a very valid point a huge Main Menu is complete deal breaker for me. I just don’t think there is globally enough cheese to assist with consuming this much whine though. 
I have been playing since TBC. Paladin wasn’t even my first character, Warlock was. I discovered Paladin sometime during Wrath. Then in Cataclysm I hated the changes they made to Ret especially how badly they played at the start of the expansion. I experimented with just about every other class. I ended up just quitting the game. The enjoyment was gone. Fortunately things improved for MoP and I came back to the game.
People are always telling others how they should play. During WoD I’d had enough of it and decided it’s my sub and game. I’m going to play it in a way that I actually enjoy. So instead of being stuck with professions on characters I hated spending time on, I started what I now call the bubble army.
Until recently I’ve always had at least two of every class (one Alliance/one Horde). I have now actually reduced to just one of each and have the rest as paladins.
Some people enjoy having one main and not much else, others enjoy playing a whole array of classes. Then there are others like me who just like one class and mostly just level those.
I completely respect this. It’s not for me, I started in Vanilla (come on someone has to have done) with an Arms Warrior (no really). THEY MADE ME TANK ANYWAY. I tanked Karazhan as main tank in (ahem, several) guilds. I burned out with dat (in Kara believe it). I started playing the Warlock I half-heartedly rolled and now I love my Warlock, really enjoy my Paladin and round out the new campfire with my Death Knight was ambivalent about in Wrath.
I’m mostly not (yet) interested in to actually hate playing the other classes. Priest are great healers, so are druids, hunters be OK, I really didn’t enjoy Shaman and I hated Monks and Dracthyr. YMMV
That’s the joy of WoW, we can and do take different approaches and there is right way. I also have 1649 and love raiding…so there you go. 
me 2. i played warlock until mop, and once i logged in cata and saw what they did to my warlock, i logged out and unsubbed.
Season begins 11.9 unless I have the date wrong for eu, current time is for us all to test stuff and get customed of whatever we want to test and pass along information of any bugs we encounter. But i agree with tesla that there will likely be bugs on the release aswell, currently were not there yet for the content to have began.
This is one of the things I’m always saying about WoW, there is no right or wrong way to play. Play it however makes you happy.
And that’s a very good choice, if you don’t like the game, then you don’t buy it. Everyone should think this way.
At least you won’t be like those whiners who buy the game and then complain about everything, thinking that just because they paid for it and have a monthly subscription, they have a say at Blizzard and can demand changes.

but you are wrong when you say monk isnt fun.
its objectively the best class in the game and most fun to play. well, TWW rework ruined it, but back in the day it used to be way better.

Those people who act like drama queens, thinking that indirectly threatening Blizzard by saying they’ll cancel their subscriptions or that they won’t buy the next expansion will work… Well, there’s a good chance they’ll be playing with us on release day anyway.
But honestly, if they don’t like the game, it’s better if they don’t buy it.
Its seems like a view speccs redesign goes wrong
If you look at SV the lost such importent stuff that makes the hole specc, and all you gain is that abilitys cleave, you basicly are a M+ specc only
I an glad i like the new BM otherwise i would need too find a new main

They removed serenity from the game, that was always a key spell in any monk rotation.
They also rearranged the talent tree in a way monk are forced to take SEF. and SEF sucks. They even locked xuen behind it. Like wtf.
They also removed the pvp talent that increase rang of tiger palm.
expel harm no longer generate chi. so now its completely useless, and will probably cause longer downtime in the rotation.
Its much easier to break spinning crane kick now.
And dps is expected to be even lower.

While I too was a bit surprised at the size of the main menu, I still fail to see how this could be a “deal breaker” for so many…
Simply because, if you´re in the main menu., you´re not actually playing duruing that time, but (at least should be) solely concentrating on setting up what you wanted to set up…
Therefore I fail to see how increased legibility is apparently such a horriffically bad thing in the eyes of so many. If anything, it lets you find the options you were looking for faster and gets you out of teh menu quicker and back to actually playing the game as a result, no?
Maybe a stupid question (sorry in advance haha) but can’t you just adjust that on the UI Scale menu? Or Main menu is not affected by that?
it doesnt work well. it affects everything, including things that should not be decreased, and it also makes it too small. and the menu still covers alot of the screen.
they made this stupid change for no reason without any way to fix it.
