History - Won’t bore you too much, played Vanilla, TBC, Wrath then a little of Cata before quitting when my daughter was born, quit during Cata about 11 years ago.
Started to play again, lockdown, Coronavirus etc etc, got me playing again, played SL since launch but stopped in June when the wonderful TBC Classic came out, got my TBC char to where I wanted it, had a great time reliving TBC again, then fancied SL again.
Quick question, how does the legendary system work? in season 1 I crafter the lowest level legendary piece, but the geezer in Torghast would let me upgrade it further, didn’t think nothing of it really and moved on.
But I’d like to try again, how do these memories work? how does the legendary system work? someone with patience is needed to explain it to me.
please excuse my ignorance, not really a hardcore player.
Should be a guide on Wowhead and Icy Veins websites… I took a break for a couple of months, so need to check some of the newer stuff, armour upgrades etc. myself… Like you, I only used the base Legendary gear before, so I could get into LFR.
Right.
You need a memory!
These are obtained from content, you can check the powers tab in the adventure journal to tell you where it is. Fortunately these drop 100% now. So it’s less hassle to get the one you want.
Next the Item that corresponds with the legendary memory.
Some parts only fit things like rings or chest pieces, you can check this on the adventure journal to.
You can choose to make these yourself, but it’s not worth the hassle unless you plan to sell your junk low rank ones on the AH.
Next Ash. You get soul ash from Torghast, Just turn your brain off, put on a documentary for background noise and power through it.
It’s not fun, but it’s better than it used to be.
Ash will get you get you a legendary up to. I THINK 235
If you want to go higher up to 263. You will need soul Cinders, which drop from the higher torghast levels.
Ash total 5,150
Cinder total 1,650
And finally a couple of missives, which just add bonus stats, just pick what’s best for you.
There’s probably a BIS legendary for you, but it will probably change in the next patch, so just make whatever you think looks the most fun.
Oh and don’t be put off! It was a big headache for most to get their heads around how the whole system works. But it is a lot better to understand now and get the items you need to create legendary items.
