Every 10 to 20 minutes my character stops being able to move with both keyboard and mouse. I can still use my spells and abilities when this happens and and NPC don’t stop attacking me. It will then not move until I log off and back on again.
Do you have a wireless keyboard / mouse ?
If so are you able to swap in a wired keyboard / mouse temporarily to see if that fixes the problem ?
unfortunately both are wired and I have now reinstalled the game which hasn’t worked either
The standard advice in cases like this is to (temporarily) disable all your addons and reset your user interface. You can see how to do that here:
If this works, you can try re-enabling your addons. If the problem re-appears it’s an addon issue, if it doesn’t then it’s the UI reset that’s fixed it.
Ive had this happen to me and a UI reset of all things fixed it.
I’d also very much lean towards an UI-reset as the most likely solution here. From the description of symptoms the game server is at some stage no longer actually receiving your movement inputs, and since those are recorded on your local client addons can indeed intercept them to a degree.
