Not new player friendly

Explain the game… lol. It always worked like that. I will forever be nice and helpfull to someone who needs help in a queueable dungeon.

So you wanna get rid of everyone who doesn’t read a wowhead guide beforing queuing for a dungeon? Congratulations, you’re the one who finally made it to kill WoW. Either you don’t mean it seriously (which I still consider possible) or you have absolutely no understanding of the player base.

I specified what I meant. You can’t just argue against 4 words of a 50+ words statement. I mean, you can, but I doubt your strawman will ever respond.

Toxicity 101

Either you have memory loss or you got this account (with old achievements) off a friend who quit the game.

I recall this was very much the way the game was played during Vanilla, TBC and Cata (I quit then). Sure, there were toxic players like you back then, but the game was harder back then and so many times there would be multiple wipes and you’d have to discuss tactics, like cc’ing certain mobs etc.

I just wanted to let you know that I laughed out loud at this statement.

If you often get kicked, then that’s likely on you, as I see it very rarely, even with very low dps players. Most of the time it’s someone being afk, or really not pressing buttons at all. The behaviour of “kick me, so I don’t have to do this dungeon” would be actively incentivized by your change to level faster.

And no, the reasons are not “too vast”. You just have different priorities. In the end it comes down to which negative experience is worse for the game.

I honestly wonder what kind of groups people get into or these threads are just blatant lies? Not like there’s ever any receipts either or proof of this happening…

Because the only time anyone got kicked in my normals or heroics was when people were literally afk at the beginning or middle of the dungeon, not moving for a long period of time. Not because they messed up mechanics or so forth. And I have level’d 4 classes from 1-70+ during season 1.

And furthermore, I infact don’t even see this behaviour in 0-4 low M+ keys where u are already expected to know ur stuff. The people in those keys, more so DPS, are extremely bad at the game most of the time and die to mechanics, dont kick and fight tank on the dps meters BUT not once have I seen someone rage or votekick anyone. Only seen the tank leave on Dawnbreaker +4 because of low dps and people dropping pools into melee and dying to them after.

These topics are being created by egotistical psychos who lack personal responsibility and self respect. When they fail and ruin the time of 4 other players, they expect the 4 other players to be “nice” to them by stopping dead in their tracks to explain basic mechanics to them. Thankfully they are a rare specimen. Most dungeons run very smoothly these days.

This is why players shouldn’t be able to queue into high keys before they conquer lower keys.

Players takes water over their heads just because they wants good rewards.

If you got kicked over a mistake then it’s not the end of the world, juts try to learn from your mistake and make it better next time.

Its Dawnbreaker!
This dungeon was the subject of many complaints at the start of TWW. I literally carried someone around on my druid form yesterday after a player apologised for not having a clue what was going on. I even offered to rerun the dungeon and explain it to him at the end. I still had 2 more HCs to do for the emissary quest.

Some people have some very short sighted view points and memory recall issues.

I don’t know when the deserter debuff was implemented, but I can tell you it has been around since at least Cataclysm - for those getting kicked, too, so this can hardly be news to you if you are indeed a returning player

but now people abuse the kick out sometimes for silly reasons and other have to wait 30 min which in some cases is riddiculous ammout of time because some poeple may play only 2-3 h a day because of work

The instructions for how to play the mechanics correctly are literally flashing up in the middle of your screen while playing.

Crap like this is the very reason why the game doesn’t get new players anymore really.

:upside_down_face: A lot of people who were complaining at the start of the expansion must been just thick then.

I guess you were unlucky with the group. My first run in Dawnbreaker was a disaster, but noone kicked me. I picked up some things on how to do it. Second time still was pretty bad, but then one of the other players whispered me to explain almost everything that went wrong for me. After that it was a breeze. Now it’s one of my favorite dungeons
Disclaimer: Both times i warned at the start that i was new in there.

usually when I’m new in a dungeon i’ll just act a few seconds slower and watch and learn from the others. I really am not going to watch a YT vid or something like that, it’s ridiculous that some people actually expect you to do that… It’s a game where it really is more fun to learn by trying. But apparently some people don’t get that these days… :frowning:

I am only talking about levelling and normal (TW) dungeons btw. I do NOT participate in M+.

I hope so. We don’t need new players who can’t be bothered to learn the game on their own. It’s better to have no new players than to get more bad new players.

so where the [redacted] are the new players supposed to learn?? Heroic teaches absolutely FA about mechanics - if we use your train of thought, then this game would die within 2 years

By studying the adventure guide, using helpful addons, watching guide videos and paying sharp attention to the game itself. Very simple.
