Nova Guild Spam Boosts on Ravencrest

Whats it with that NOVA Guild being able to spam the same macro for boosts with absurd prices on literally 20+ chars, constantly making new ones every day as they get reported?
(None of the spamming chars are in the guild btw)

Half the tradechat is the same macro from the same guild.

And yes, downloading an addon to block out booster guys isnt an option because this should be Activision-“Blizzards” job and they have to do a move, not making an addon from a 3rd party website mandatory to not get annoyed constantly.

Recently, I also got randomly whispered with boosting spam ads.

Get a hold on this crap, its literally annoying.

Not even talking about that they literally rip off people who actually buy the crap, 300k gold for a +2? 550k for a Torghast Layer 8 while its faceroll? Kek.

its only 300k for a plus 2, cause the management takes a 10% cut… Nova isn’t a guild, its basically the wow equivalent of a pyramid scheme. They let anyone advertise for them and lure more people in via commissions/kickbacks.

Blizzard endorses those bots basically they also spam LFG, the new channel chat, every single chat channel they can ruin they do it and of course looking for group. But blizzard doesn’t mind.

Frick that, I’m tired of seeing my actual WTS ITEM posts getting drowned away by boosters, torghast scammers and other low life bots.

Blizzard endorses boost spammers and boosting, because they sell more WoW tokens to the fools easily parted with their gold.

And thats f****ing sad.

Have to correct you there just once tho:

Activision-“Blizzard”.
Not Blizzard itself. That name is only kept up for a good mine

Nova is a scummy organisation but the trade chat spam isn’t bots… its too easy just to make a spam macro, put it on your bars and hit 1 to spam trade chat with it.

Unless blizzard catches them openly doing RMT (which honestly at this point is an open secret that it happens), Blizzard wont take any action… They don’t endorse this type of player organisation but it isn’t explicitly against the TOS either (though I wish it was), since it has no positive effects on the community.

Guilds and individuals should still be able to advertise and sell services that they them selves provide but this outsourcing of advertisers is really a problem.

People need to mass report (legitimate spammers) every time. Unfortunately there’s too many people using addons to ignore them.

It’ll have two effects:

  • It’ll make spamming not worth their time of they get silenced after one post

  • The sheer numbers of reports will mean Blizzard have to do something about boost spam like they have done with multiboxers.
