NOVA Spammers

When will Blizzard do anything about this NOVA boost spamming? Trade chat is full of this… its getting worse and worse… should do something about it.

if you find level 1 characters in city doing nothing and just spam chat report them that is against rules otherwise trade is for trade.

Having characters for sole purpose of just spamming chat is against rules same as having bots report them for cheating.

Clearly you do not have children. When my kid nags me(spams) I close my mind off entirely and ignore it. Try that, it helps. (I of course listen when she needs something that is actually important.)

I am reporting all of these, but it seems its not helping, spamming is gonna continue and in much larger numbers, also these chars are immediately offline :frowning:

i put them on ignore/leave trade /report them.

Please don’t, Holy Nova is my only AoE! It beats DoT spamming by a huge margin and I’m already weak at it! :joy::joy:

Sounds like a serious problem by now, to get back on topic. But so long they boost for gold, it’s not against the rules. :frowning:

I hate to be that other guy of other guys who has said it, but there is simply no other way you stop permanently seeing it anywhere in general. Being spammed.

Badboy addon Plugins for Spamming.

Since the co-leader of Blizzard approves of and sells boosts regularly, you will never see the end of them or their spam. Sadly, addons are the only solution for now.

Accounts. Not characters.

same thing since their are on some account .

If it is a toon on an account that is playing the game your report is going to be ignored as no rules have been broken. The account has to be primarily used for advertising. Characters don’t matter.

Are you stupid or you act like that ?
Can you tell me how can account post messages in chat ?

IT IS OBVIOUS Characters are on X account like what are you even about ?

It does not matter if the character is used for advertisement alone and whether it is level 1 or 60. If the entire account is not primarily used for that the report is invalid.

these communities should already be banned because there is always rmt behind. nobody creates and manages in these dimensions just for wow gold

Good assumption need prove to back it up otherwise yep people do for gold these who boost not sure about these who manage rest.

i dont have and actually dont care but its pretty obvious.

yes average booster does for gold but all the guys behind most likely dont

Boosts are considered a trade (their gold for your time) so technically they are in the right place. There have been some cases where level 1s have received punishment, you can find these discussed on places like Reddit and I believe icy veins covered it in an article too.

You can use add-ons to clean up spam advertisements but do be aware only others using those add-ons will see trade the same way. Many of us just leave trade or hide it in another tab.

They aren’t allowed to advertise in other channels so you can report them if they appear there. They also aren’t permitted in the group finder tool.

Wrong.

They have to actively play on that server to advertise on that servers trade chat. Also, depends on how frequently they send messages and if anyone else is sending messages. Sadly, blizzard hasn’t done anything for spammers(Especially since not enough people report to auto-mute in the first place which is all Blizz cares about in most cases.)

TBH is there any reason to have the /City or /Local whatever it’s called channel on, like ever?
I turned it off a few months ago, and never felt the need to turn it back on, as everything there is just spamming and a rate of 100 messages per second. Now I only see boosting advertising in LFG and on Facebook ads kekw.

Get badboy, add key words, stand in town with Trade chat on an just auto report anyone using entered key words.

Gotten several blizz mails of confirmed action since doing this.
