Thinking about how criminally neglected Shaman Ghost wolf forms are not every race should be a wolf.
Same goes for upgrading the original paladin and argent charger. Could even add customisation to the the chargers cover so you can match a tabard, faction or guilds colours.
Same goes go for the very much neglected Death knight class mount, let us choose between a covered version like midnight or a standard dk uncovered version. Add skulls and cool side plates. I want to pimp my ride!
Also Death knights ghouls need a desperate upgrade, i want my magus to look like a magus and not a random ghoul spamming vanilla shadowbolts. Remorseless winter looks shocking and ive no idea why it doesnt work like a DHs darkness.
Shamans do get racial totems tho, Locks dont get racial mounts either. Human Paladins are stuck with the low-res mount while newer races… even Dwarfs got new versions.
Why tho? And should this apply to the wolf summons aswell? I dont know much about Shaman lore but i think the wolf part has a connection as to why it is a wolf for all shamans.
I would say the wolf thing comes more from orcs and frost wolves, it doesnt make sense for a draenei, dwarf or kul tiran to have the same spirit animal. I would expect its more of a choice like a Highmountain may choose an eagle or stag, while a dwarf may choose a bear or ram.
Some of the shaman racial totems are vanilla graphics and could be doing with an update too. Compare highmountin to normal tauren and its a massive difference.
Lock base mount does need updated. it needs to be drastically more different from the legion one tho. At least the paladin legion mount is different enough from the charger.
I would say it has more to do with Thrall having that spell in Warcraft 3 and therefore associated with all shamans, like Jaina and water elementals. As classes have evolved now its the shamans that should have water elementals now as they have every other element, as its now their thing, elemental magic. In WC3 it was mainly just thunder i think.
A real update of the charger mount would be like the legion Kara mount is to the undead racial mount, or as you mentioned the lock mount update. For me it would have been better if they went that way instead. I like nothing about they toy-ish armor the pala legion mount has.
Yeah that’s a feeling I get as well. Thing is it’s not love for druids. It’s love for nelf druids. My druids are Zandalari, Troll and Kultiran, created because they are a different kind of druid. What did they get to make me feel like I’m playing something else but a nelf druid? Dinosaur forms? Wickerman forms? Nothing. It’s always nelf druids. Why the hell would I want my Zandalari to turn into a bear?
They did it’s called the legion class charger. Don’t ask for stuff like this, they’ll make a mess of it. Paladins new animations don’t fit IMO. #bringbackoldwings.
I feel like having elemental customization options, or maybe even more totem options would be cool, too. Maybe even different colored lightning effects.
