Aff looks great (some things can be improved) and with the new Demo changes (looks amazing) it shows they can be creative.
So, can they now apply these principles to the class tree (those awful stances and maybe empowerment of our other abilities: The warlock can summon the closet on their own) and fix Destruction!

Cannot agree more aff and recently demo have gotten great changes (which can still be smooth out) destro needs some love and the class tree as well. For destro I feel like they just need to revisit the bottom of the tree. And the class feels kinda weird for me, like we can get most of the things we want which is great, and they are some good new things like foul -mouth and the curse cloud. But the rest feels a bit odd the curse stance, drain life, all the dmg nodes, and some of the niche nodes like the double use of gateway don’t feel exciting or particularly useful

Exactly! Destruction seems to be stuck and hasn’t really changed much. I like playing all specs and Destro just feels left out.
Avatar of destruction should return to the centre of the tree with Ritual of ruin making a come back. I would still love for our Blasphemy to return. I miss our purple boy.
Dimensional rifts should replace channel demon fire. Bring back the cleave element and the ability to proc based on immolate now we can spread that easily. Then as the capstone you have Flame rift. And please update the portal animations.
Soul Fire to be updated with decimation making it an instant cast. Make the soul fire shadowflame.
I really like our apex talents but the laser beam visual needs some help.
As for the class tree, make curses baseline, bring back Impending Catastrophe, changing Blight of (whatever) to Blight of Curses. It is effectively amplify curse.
Make an ability were demonic circle has two charges and can be pin pointed like gateway.
Give locks the ability to summon the closet by themselves but keep needing an additional person to summon.
I agree with some of the ideas that you’ve said about destro but the one that really needs to be looked at are the dimensional rifts as you said the season 3 tier set from DF should be implemented in some form, at least with the cleaving rifts and flaming rifts which really made rifts competitive (I wouldn’t mind the immolate recharge/proc rifts either but I feel like that would be a tuning mess) afterwards soul fire either has to have decimation or be removed because it’s just too annoying to play with without it. Channel demonfire either has to extend immolate/wither or go away as well it’s just not worth pressing except if it’s overtuned. I won’t lie it felt great being able to cast cata + cdf and not worrying about our dots for a while. So we’ll have to see and bring back avatar as it was before not tied to soul fire or rifts.

As for the class tree, I kinda get what they’re going for. The tanky drain curse class but for now it feels kinda clunky, drain life is a very flavorfull spell for warlock, but with how specs work now it feels out of place. On the curse side of things , I like how our curses could be our utility in groups but the issue is how impactful they’re going to be, the issue is can curses compete with other spec utility, from aoe disruption (psychic scream, blast nova, etc…) in the current season I would say no but we don’t know how M+ will be in Midnight it might be more impactful, we will have to see, also good idea to bring back impending catastrophe just for the aoe curse application (in addition to smart cursing). To sum it up I see what they are trying to do with the class tree to fufill our class fantasy while trying to just give what other classes have as well , but as of right now it’s not there yet, and in addition I feel like they are too many dmg nodes. Let’s see if they do anything in alpha or early beta

I’m currently, strangely, satisfied with the Affliction rework and very surprised by how much they’ve improved Demonology in a week (which the week before was really bad, illogical, and with strange, unintuitive mechanics). Destruction isn’t currently satisfying me, except for the triple Conflagrate.
- change the dynamics of Grimoire of Sacrifice so that it increases spell power by 5% and with Soul Link increases maximum health by 10%
- Immolate should always be instant (i want to play also diabolist), or at least Scalding Flames should decrease its cast time by at least half a second. I’d also be fine with making it instant with a CD of a few seconds, but not the second and a half we’ve been carrying around since 2004. Maybe add an anti-dispel mechanism similar to Unstable Affliction, with the target being hit by an explosion and stunned for a second. In short, there are many things that could be done
- I really like Shadowburn being a 20% execute again, but a proc that makes Shadowburn usable even when the target is not at or below 20% health would be very interesting.
- Cataclysm should radically change the mechanics: it’s instant, but the explosion must occur in the area where it was cast only 2-3 seconds later. It would be fantastic if, with a PvP talent, Cataclysm could then stun targets for two seconds after the explosion, returning to what was partially the original design of the spell created by Xelnath. It would basically become a sort of Snowdrift for the Frost Mage
- Soulfire should change its dynamics and incorporate Decimation so that it can be an instant proc, obviously reducing its damage compared to now and increasing its proc frequency. A spell with that cast time is completely useless except as a raid opener
- Ritual of Ruin should return; it’s a very thematic and fun ability. It could be decreased to 10 shards and reduced chasobolt cast time by a third so as not to be too powerful
- Avatar of Destruction should be revised so that if you cast Chaosbolt during the Ritual of Ruin, a Blasphemy will appear and cast Chaosbolt on the target, and if you cast Rain of Fire during the Ritual of Ruin, the Blasphemy will be summoned from the Twisting Nether, impacting the ground and hitting all targets, dealing AOE damage that will increase the targets’ vulnerability to the warlock’s spells. Since some classes stun AOE, I don’t see why it’s not possible to stun at least one second the targets hit by the Blasphemy’s meteor
- Dimensional Rift should be reworked, possibly with only one charge per minute but much more powerful than it is now. It could be interesting for Dimensional Rift to open three rifts at once and hit all targets in range (It could replace Channel Demonfire as far as I’m concerned, unless it becomes castable on the move). Perhaps each soul shard obtained from spells has a chance to reduce their CD, or perhaps each critical hit. There are many possible solutions here too
*Drain Life in Destruction needs to become a sort of cauterize like the old Ember Tap worked in MOP, using resources and healing the warlock over time
- My dream is always the return of the Fel Flame, maybe 3 charges and 30 sec CD
I always sincerely hope that stance curses will be eliminated and something simpler will be implemented as we have written several times, and that you don’t have to take 2 talents for two curses

I like where they are going with our curses and the premise of Blight of (Curse name) is really powerful. Time will tell and it would be great if they were our “utility.”
