Npc pvp enabling

Whoever decided that running past a guard allows anyone of any level to kill you on a normal server is beyond stupid. I am gonna spend all day killing anyone accidently pvp enabling on my 40 hunter until they remove this.

It’s not like they didn’t say agroing opposite faction guards would flag you………

They said attacking.

Yeah i ran to ulda from arathi and guards there was untargettable but as soon i ran through one it attacked me and flagged.

That sounds fun, which spot is a good place to wait for unsuspecting victims?

what ? aggroing a guard will flag you ? I thought they intended to make it impossible to unintentionally flag yourself, and I thought i heard the dev saying the only exception would be running into an enemy capital. But i didn’t realise running into guards in the open world would flag you. So ti means you basically can’t cross a low level opposite faction without risking getting griefed. Like for example crossing Loch Modan as horde, which is a very common way to get to badlands. I even think its the only way to get to badlands as horde, as coming from the south is way riskier (and way longer).

If it is an intended mechanic, then this mean we will have to adapt, we will have to learn the locations and the patrol routes of the guards, and find way to avoid them.

This have to be a mistake by developers. Can’t remember ever getting pvp enabled for running past a opposite-faction guard before on a PvE realm. Only attacking them should enable that right?

Alliance victims or Horde? There’s some Horde guards near the lift to 1k needles, might get the occasional accidental Alliance flag there.

Yes. It was like this before. Running past made them atack you - and probably kill if not lucky - but NOT mark for PvP. Only you attack them made this.

Did you have a buff on that procs on hit (like thorns) ?

I really hope they remove those problems, must be really sad to die because you try to escape guards
