EDIT: Hi all!! Thank u to everyone who’s /w me about this, and to those who’ve been playing along with my Lucy-themed events in game so far; folks from all kinds of guilds, it’s been great! I’ve been having a whale of a time running these little things - hope the people taking part enjoyed it too! It’s me, nobody’s favourite cowboy zombie! Who was also nobody’s favourite purple science zombie but I pretend I had nothing to do with that one. I mean she’s been dead IC for more than a year, but I can’t let go.
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, and have a great New Year planned - and that your time pretending to be a zombie/elf/gnome/girl on the Internet instead of getting out there and talking to real girls in real life has been productive and enjoyable!
Long story short, over the past few weeks I’ve been doing a bit of role play building on my girl Kaitylinn here’s tragic backstory (because even Superman has one these days, what’s my excuse?) - namely, the terrifying return of her arch nemesis, one Lucy Lockjaw McAwley. Part cowboy, part zombie, all menace to society. You might have seen one of her hired goons recently handing out explosive parcels around Orgrimmar.
Now Lucy here is one lean, mean, killing machine; likes a little bit of murder for breakfast, loves a little bit of blackmail for lunch, and maybe even adores a touch of world domination for dinner. Basically, she’s one hell of a bad attitude. They call her “Lockjaw” because she likes to bolt metal masks on her enemies, and throw them out in the middle of nowhere to slowly die from hunger and dehydration. Edgy huh? Definitely some daddy issues down the line.
Anyhow, events have been DM’d and encounters have happened- and on the 4th of January, there’s going to be a big meeting of all the villains and ner-do-well’s Lucy has bribed, blackmailed or otherwise convinced to join her cause, to discuuss matters and spin the wheels of super villainy! Think that scene from the latest Fantastic Beasts, where Johnny Depp is doing the big “We need to keep the muggle man down, man!” speech to all the evil wizards, and they’re all “Hell YEAH we do!”.
And this is where YOU come in, dear reader! Because, god willing, those villains and scoundrels joining Lucy in her nefarious plans will hopefully be played by, well, YOU!
If you’ve ever wanted to pretend to be a bad person on the internet (or if you want to join on your normal character to fight bad people on the internet!), but have been too afraid of the terms of service to try - here’s your chance!
Anyone with an alt or throw-away character (preferably one with an axe to grind with society, or eager to prove it’s not a phase, mom!) is more than welcome to attend - before being inevitably mown down by our gallant heroes, come to save the day! But for the ten minutes you get to be a bad guy, it’ll (hopefully) be great!
It’ll be guarding the arena, attending the meeting, cheering and jeering and saying “Yes” to Proposition 24 (“World Domination”), until the heroes show up and fight us. In which case we can fight back! You don’t need to do too much planning in advance; just make a TRP for some alt, show up, role play and fight in role play! =)
