I came here just to share how disappointed I am with Nullaeus on ? difficulty. The fight was not easy for me as Elemental shaman, I was progressing it for more than 3 hours. That part is fine. But what is not fine is the result. No gear drop, just a lousy cosmetic and a quest reward toy that looks like somebody put that togeter in 5 minutes on home office. To make matters worse I just found out it doesn’t count towards great vault rewards.
I don’t want to be the guy that just do stuff for a reward, I am running around on a ground mount just for the experience, but the whole Nullaeus kill in the end was very anticlimactic. It was not worth the time and certainly left a sour taste in my mouth..

Now farm it every week for x30 Champion and Hero Crests in ?, and x30 Hero and Mythic Crests in ?? !

It’s a solo flex, if you care for such things. I personally really wanted the mount and it is the only time I have even bothered with ? let alone ??. It gives you 30 crests that go past the limit, so that’s a reward.
I am not sure which toy and lousy cosmetic you are referring to. I got a title and a mount.

I should have mentioned I did it on ? (I added it to my post). If there is a mount for ?? I might do that, but for ? it was not really worth the effort.
The cosmetic was some head transmog that didn’t look interesting.
the ? is basically there to teach you the basic mechanics of ??.
Oh I see, yes ? really is just a very easy version to teach you the tactics. If you found that difficult then I suggest having a lot of gear before trying ??. I did it at 260 I think.
Nullaeus ? Gives you 30 hero crests that don’t count towards cap on first kill. As well as a toy for completing the Nullaeus quest.

Getting 3 extra hero upgrades and 1 myth upgrade, as well as a bunch of cosmetics, is pretty rewarding.
I have 250. I read that it is easy when healing Aleera, but I wanted to do it as my main spec. Running around like a mad lad trying to cast spells. I bet there is a lots of people that finds this easy, but for me, as I said, it took some time and the whole experience was not just that rewarding. And I bet there is also a lot of people for whom the ? might be the hard difficulty too, surely would be nice to at least get a gear reward.
Certain classes and specs have an easier time than others. I found ? easy because I am a Paladin. I have DPS, utility and self-heals. ?? was difficult for me and very concentration focused, I am very proud to have done it. I seriously can’t imagine doing it on any other class and have no doubt that ? is difficult.
I think people would complain if it gave a gear reward because ultimately this was meant to just be a flex achievement, a “if you really want something difficult” option. T1-8 are for gearing, it’s for casual content players. To add give would bring about the whole “I am FORCED to do this difficult content!” attitude. Personally I’d just not bother but it seems to be a common complaint.

Man, the difficulty just varies so much
You get crests, which are more valuable than gear pieces and the ones from nullaeus cant be acquired from anywhere else because they don’t count towards weekly caps.
Solo content in WoW likely sees the biggest imbalances between classes/specs out of all types of content, but that’s unlikely to change. Blizzard doesn’t even acknowledge that to be a problem, it seems all they care is for the content to be doable for all classes/specs - imbalance in difficulty doesn’t matter.

?? has been kicking my teeth in, the few times I’ve attempted it. Granted I rocked up to his bachelor pad without any consumables and only one go at ? as reference, so I could definitely do a better job optimizing my odds. In short…
I was not prepared.

I’ve done it on ? and ?? and NEVER want to do it EVER again, not even for the crests

I can’t see you’re profile but don’t do it as tank…….go as DPS with Valeera as a healer……..tanks get hit way harder for some reason.
If you’re a warrior do it as tank. If you’re any class with a heal spec do it as healer. If you’re a DH probably do it as devourer honestly for the kiting.

Devourer main, and frankly I think my main issue was not using my mobility enough. That and no consumables for that extra edge.
