Numbing poison, does it really slow attack speed?

Hey guys, so i was running numbing poison for my mythic+ just now and i noticed that the debuff for numbing poison just says slowed casting speed, is this a bug with debuff writing or am i reading numbing poison wrong?

Thought numbing poison was for just dispelling enrage and slowing casters.

Numbing Poison slows attack and casting speed by 15% but only Shiv dispels enrage effects.

Can you do me a favor, can you read the debuff tooltip on an enemy when you use the poison, for me it just says casting speed lol.

Who ever told you it slowed down attack speed?

It has never done that. Its just casting that it slows.

To be fair it does say on the tooltip:
“slowing their attacks and casting speed by 15%”

It used to be called ‘Mind Numbing Poison’ and only slowed casting speed (there is only a PvP talent called Mind Numbing). It is now known as ‘Numbing Poison’ in PvE and slows both casting AND attack speed.

Indeed I stand corrected. The debuff might just be old writing, if you want to know for sure pick up a swingtimer addon and check out the effect on some mobs in the world. But you may assume it would slow they swings.
