Black Friday is around the corner and I thinking about to upgrade my GPU and monitor, the components I have today is following
Amd rx580 8gb ASUS rog stix OC
MSI mag241cr 144hz 1080p
(Amd 3600x, 1tb m.2 ssd, 16gb 3200mhz ram, 750w psu)
What parts would fit WoW best? I do only play MMO so no FPS games. What are you guys using?
If u don’t have fp issues atm don’t change it ?
What in the name of all good are you talking about?
Both AMD and NVIDIA are decent GPU processor makers. You should consider the ratings and reviews for the given GPUs in consideration with price and availability.

Well I’ll do better next time I was just saying AMD works for me and he should use it.
I have some FPS stuttering even with AMD FreeSync on the FPS can jumps from 90-30 and up and down. And I have some problem with that the ground get blurry (shifts in contrast) when I move forward especially around starting area night elfs. Dunno if it is just the monitor? And money is no problem, I do just think that I compare the resolution with my iMac 27 4K monitor, I’m sitting close to the monitor.
I’m using a ryzen 5 3600 with 16gb corsair vengeance LPX 3200mhz and a gigabyte gtx1660 super. It runs perfectly well with a 24 inch monitor at 1080p 60mhz

I’ve been using AMD for GPUs for years but my latest purchase was an RTX 2060 a couple years back. and honestly both are good but I will say AMD’s software is total garbage. Nvidia has so many more features and they actually work.
So I’ll be sticking with Nvidia for the time being but AMD CPUs on the other hand are really good now.

All i say is that if you have some more money, you could definitely go for a better GPU than a 580, NVIDIA or AMD, the rest of your setup is way ahead of it.
Yes I was a total Intel fanboy since pentium 1 but I did change my mind about the cpu last year since AMD did crush Intel in every test for what I was willing to pay. AMD cpu works like a charm. But I ain’t so pleased with the GPU it is hard to adjust it to work properly, the FreeSync doesn’t work that well for me either. So I thinking about to get the RTX3060ti when it release and a 4K monitor WoW doesn’t need that 144hz probably better with high resolution?

Those speccs are eerily similar to what I was thinking about upgrading to, in the New Year.
Can I ask what sort of performance you get and what FPS and Graphic Settings etc you get and use ?

I locked my GPU to 60fps - always match your monitor refresh rate to the in game fps eg mine is 60mhz and fps is locked at 60fps at graphics settings 7
Got the 5700xt start of year, with a 3700x. Absolute nightmare for the first 6 months. It’s new tech and was bound to be issue, but omg have I sunk so much time into making this card work. From agressive downclocking (card runs at 60% power), which is hard baked into the actual hardware, and NOT software controlled. To screen tearing in literally every game (even when FPS is capped to monitor hz). To FPS drops, again down to poor software.
Just installed cod warzone again. First time playing the game it crashed my PC, and literally deleted the AMD software lol. Had to reinstall the drivers again. Googled it, and it’s a pretty common problem, this is a year after yhe games been released…
It literally took AMD 8 months to make the card function decently. Some people got away with ones working fine. But there’s millions of posts of issues to this day. I’m done with AMD and never getting one again after this. 100% getting a 3070 when they drop in price abit.

I do regularly have around 100+ FPS if I don’t lock it 60. But my GPU gets so laud if I have it set to 144hz and setting 10. Like a airplane! The rog strix cards are so big for bad and good!
