Obnoxious rep farm in Legion

I don’t mind going back to Legion to farm rep to unlock the Highmountain race, but what i do mind is that it takes unnecessarily long time, considering it’s old content. Is it just me, or would it be really nice with some rep buff so players who haven’t unlocked the allied races, doesn’t have to do world quests in Highmountain for a whole month?

It had been buffed already compared with how it was. And u can farm highmountain in a Day if u want.

You get rep from the dungeon, Neltharion’s Lair.

Legion reps are easy to grind, compare them to wod now :open_mouth:

I personally think allied races from old expansions should be auto unlocked. It doesn’t really make sense to go back and farm old content;

  1. on a player/customer level, because it’s boring. We’d all rather be participating in the current content.
  2. it doesn’t make sense lore wise. If you’re 120 then technically your character has already saved the day in legion.
  3. Blizzard would also benefit from this. More people with access to allied races, more race changes, more $$$

I’m not saying remove the rep grind completely. It’s annoying, but I “get it”. The rep farm could be a form of early access, or access whilst content is relevant. As soon as new expansion comes out, unlock.

Actually it does make sense because reward for doing so is not gold or ap, it’s allied race unlocked. The only reason you would want it to be actual content bound is to have more quest rewards which is not the case. Allied races could be sticked to vanilla zones and it shouldn’t bother anyone.

Wait till May and everyone who is avoiding doing the rep grind for WoD will have flying, since Timewalking will be out and you can just get the badges :P.

So, save up the TW badges for this if anyone still needs it!!

Technically, EVERYTHING in WoW is “current content”. It’s an expansive world. Nothing becomes “old content” until you’ve basically done it.

It does make sense. Yes, we saved the world from the Burning Legion, but the Allied races have nothing to do with that. Lore wise, we have to get them to Ally with us by building a “bond” with them, so to speak. Hence, doing Surumar get’s you Nightfallen etc.

I don’t know if this is true or not. They are also making money for people being subbed to them. So, it’s kind of a “win-win” situation for them.

Then the races won’t be special. I know I for one would not be happy if I had spent a month getting the reps, only for me to find out it’s been unlocked because a new expansion came out. That seems like a smack in the face to me. That’s basically saying “Give the people who didn’t stay with blizzard a reward, whilst at the same time screwing over those who did”.

Legion reps have been made a lot easier now, so it’s not too difficult to get any of them.

I thought I’d include these guides in case they cover anything you aren’t currently doing

Hope you get to unlock your alied race soon

It’s all current? Then I can enjoy deadmines with ray tracing when I get my 2080ti?

Have you done Deadmines at least once? If so, then, please, refer to my last comment of “Until you’ve basically done it”.
Plus, I was more referring too the outside world, not raids/dungeons.

That is one good idea mon!

Show me one person who is playing BfA who hasn’t done Legion.

I’ll show you those who haven’t done the reps for Legion, which is what this whole post is based off of. Plus, people leaving at the start of Legion, plus, people who have only just joined in BFA. As I said, if you’ve done the content/rep grind, then you can call it “old content” (Though, as I’ve said in quite a few of my posts, I wouldn’t mind the reps being lowered from Exalted to Revered with the old expansions, since it would mean less grinding pointless WQ’s after you’ve done all the storylines).

Everybody who did any grind to unlock ANY allied race, had “basically done it” after the first rep grinding session. Every other rep grinding session after that one therefore, is old content because they had already “basically done it”.

Yes, and, since then, it’s been sped up drastically. Before, back in Legion, it would take a month to get the 2 from Argus done. Where as now, 7-10 days and you’ve done it from Neutral. You can unlock all 4 Allied races in Legion within 7-10 days, if you just spent a little time doing it.

Lol Hexelyion.

Yeah Dotsoffun, sorry but repeatedly doing something is the essence of rep grinding. You argued against the rep grinds when you said anything anyone had already done was old content.

Well done, you’ve done the magically thing of twisting my words to better suit your point. Bravo, I applaud you.

Now, since this seems difficult for you, let me explain. I said that anyone who has already DONE the rep grind can call it old content, since they’ve already done it. If you haven’t got the rep to exalted, you haven’t done it, have you? So, they haven’t “already done it”.

I think the point they are trying to make is that it’s a rep grind that requires you to play the previous expansion. Those who played continuously had most of the requirements with prepatch for BfA and could unlock them or others did the grind then. People who start playing now essentially have to go back to an old expansion to grind the unlock requirements for a faction that came with BfA.

I am not saying it’s right or wrong
