Hey,
This is myself trying to make it so that I can pick Odyn’s Fury (OF) over Onslaught (OS), as I enjoy OF and not a fan of OS.
Currently, OS is the better option in all but the most extreme of outliers. OF only comes out ahead in pulls that are every 1.5 min (20 sec duration) and got nothing in between, and even then, there got to be tons of targets to hit. We are talking 8++. In practice, it is now a dead talent.
- Odyn’s Fury is worse for AoE
The problem is, even for AoE, even if OS is supposed to be better in ST - OS can benefit from meatcleaver and thus is also AoE. You get 3 OS in the space of 1 OF, but 1 OF got the damage of 1.5 OS. So OS goes ahead by 1.5 OS. That is not even including that OS granting more rage for rampage and AM resets for more ravagers/reck (15 rage vs 90rage+2sec max enrage uptime). - As mentioned above, OS scales better for content due to AM
OF does not synergise with anything at this moment, only arguably avatar for doublediping in bleed AoE damage (that is already outvalued by a mile in all but the extreme of examples). - Odyn’s Fury is supposed to at least be an viable option
I don’t care if picking OF is worse on single target - I get that the designers wants there to be options - but currently OF is not an option in any but the most outlandish scenario.
Suggest fixes:
- Increase OF damage / remove the softcap on AoE totally.
-
- nov. 2022 — Odyn’s Fury now deals reduced damage beyond 8 targets
- Make OF somehow pulse rage to give AM value, or make OF make CB do more damage with synergy (if devs want AM to be locked in step with OS).
This is my attempt to get some focus on this. Hopefully see Odyn’s Fury buffed so it is a button to bring. If you in any way or form want to see OF used, please do get some focus on this. Or it will be a dead button untill they rework it or remove it for bladestorm going: “Hah! We knew you didnt want OF! haha!”
For me Odyn’s Fury was the hype for this expansion. Especially since Juggernaught was slaughtered and thrown off a cliff, burning to ashes of its former self.
I sincerely ask everyone to do what they can to help fix this.
