Hello,
I am reporting a very offensive issue in the Russian localization of World of Warcraft. When closing a dialogue window with a certain character, the character says something in English which, when heard by Russian speakers, sounds exactly like the highly offensive slur “pidoras.”
This word is an extremely derogatory insult in Russian, with strong homophobic connotations. Hearing it repeatedly when interacting with this NPC is both shocking and upsetting.
I urge Blizzard to immediately review this localization error, as it is completely inappropriate for a game that values inclusivity. I have attached a video recording for reference: YouTube link
I sincerely hope Blizzard will address this issue promptly and consider a form of goodwill compensation, such as additional game time, for the distress caused.
