Hello,
I would like to make a suggestion for Blizzard to create their own official raid and mythic+ version, so that we do not have to rely on an external addon “Raider,io” in order to play higher difficulty level raids and mythic+ keys.
The addon seem good on paper: You can easily hover a player ingame to see their raid progress, mythic+ score and number of timed mythic+ dungeons between certain key levels. However the problems I’ve noticed and have endured many times since the addon was created is that you often have to manually update your character on the Raider,io website in order to keep your raid progress viewable by other players, or after one week (think it is) your progress is removed from the addon and you have to manually update your character(s) and wait one to two days before it’s added to the daily addon update. Not to mention that the Raider,io website offers you to pay money for prioritized update queues, which is not how it should be. Some people argue that the addon is elitist, that it excludes some people from getting invited into groups. But the fact is that the addon has been the norm since Legion when mythic+ was first introduced and it’s very likely here to stay.
I think it’s about time that the Raider,io addon is ditched, and replaced by an official Blizzard server-wide and account-wide system that instantly updates itself whenever a player kills a boss or increases their mythic+ score/number of timed dungeons, and most importantly one that is always viewable by players regardless if you are taking break and come back after for example a week or a month. Blizzard have introduced mythic+ score without having to use the Raider,io addon, and I think it’s about time we get the full version now. So that we don’t have to feel forced to login and manually update our vast array of alts (which most people have) all the time, in fear or having your progress removed from the Raider,io addon.
Currently with Raider,io you can choose a “main” among your characters which shows your main’s progress and mythic+ score to your alts, and if you do not keep your “main” character updated or logged in once in a while all your other characters will likely not be able to join any raids or mythic+ dungeons as the leader will not invite you, unless you create the group yourself.
These are my thoughts, if you have ideas on how to improve the suggestion I wrote about do share!
